I attended day 3 of BIBSI at Mesquite High School. I wasn't able to watch all the teams last night, but I will by the end of the weekend. Here are all the standouts from last night:

[player_tooltip player_id='2889279' first='Jace' last='Parris'] (Mesa):

The big man was a force all weekend at BIBSI. Stepping into a more prominent role in his sophomore year, he showed real polish around the cup and consistently cleaned up the glass. He is a sneaky good passer and delivers high-low passes with excellent touch. He also affects many shots around the rim, and as he settles into this expanded role, his production should continue to climb.

[player_tooltip player_id='3150619' first='Jasiah' last='Lloyd'] (Carl Hayden):

Lloyd made his living on the defensive end this weekend. He's a ball-hawk who constantly reads opposing eyes to generate turnovers, often turning those steals into transition opportunities. When he gets downhill, he's looking to playmake but can finish through traffic. Expect him to be a vital piece of Carl Hayden's success this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='3662711' first='Kash' last='McKinney'] (Carl Hayden):

The transfer wing has looked comfortable in his new role at Carl Hayden. He has a strong frame and excels at applying pressure to the rim. He also features a reliable mid-range pull-up jumper when the defense sags. On the other end, he's a on-ball defender capable of keeping lead guards in check. His skill set is trending upward.

[player_tooltip player_id='3474354' first='Beckett' last='Gaylord'] (Highland):

The sharpshooter was in rhythm throughout the weekend at BIBSI. He excels spotting up off the ball with a lightning-fast release, but he's equally comfortable utilizing a pull-up jumper when chased off the line. While he's currently playing off the ball, he will have a natural transition to lead guard duties down the road.

[player_tooltip player_id='3638139' first='Jayden' last='Davis'] (Sandra Day O'Connor):

Davis was everywhere for the Eagles, bringing a defensive intensity that set the tone. He takes pride in his defense, using his length to harass opposing ball-handlers 94 feet. Offensively, he gets out in transition, running hard to earn easy buckets, and he consistently makes the right cuts to reward his teammates for finding him. He's the defensive engine for this squad.
[player_tooltip player_id='3421209' first='Kamdon' last='Edwards'] (Canyon View):

A standout among a deep group of guards for Canyon View, Edwards thrived in the big moments at BIBSI. He hit clutch shots repeatedly to keep his team in striking distance. He's a vocal floor general who guides his team through sets and team defense. While he is scrappy on defense, he gives opponents a hard time. Look for him to have a breakout season under Coach Duke.
