I attended day 2 of BIBSI at Mesquite High School. I wasn't able to watch all the teams last night, but I will by the end of the weekend. Here are all the standouts from last night:

[player_tooltip player_id='2878042' first='Davon' last='Darby'] Red Mountain:

A quick-quick lead guard with a high basketball IQ, Darby was a standout facilitator during BIBSI day 2. He showcased elite floor spacing, consistently making the right reads to set up teammates. His quick burst allows him to blow by defenders and finish at the rim with ease. He will be a key aspect of Red Mountain's success this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2689934' first='Braden' last='Baldwin'] Arcadia:

Baldwin is a high-motor wing who has significantly improved his game recently. He always attacks the paint aggressively and finishes well through traffic. His off-ball cuts lead to constant easy looks, but it's his activity on the glass that truly stands out. With a quick second jump and springy athleticism, he's an offensive rebounding threat and a x-factor for Arcadia.

[player_tooltip player_id='3574605' first='Isaiah' last='King'] Basha:

The 2030 prospect is already proving he can compete at a high level. Providing a major spark off the Basha bench, Isaiah shows a smooth shooting stroke and the ability to knock down jumpers over taller defenders. He is a disciplined defender who uses his speed and body well. He's definitely a young name to monitor as he continues to add polish to his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2301235' first='Rhys' last='M. Robinson'] Pinnacle:

Robinson is a talented forward who imposes his will on the interior. He is a relentless offensive rebounder, creating numerous second-chance points for Pinnacle. His footwork and clever ball fakes make him a handful in the post, and his perimeter jumper looks more confident than ever. Using his frame effectively on both ends, he's a consistent two-way presence.

[player_tooltip player_id='2746700' first='Carter' last='Glass'] Sandra Day O'Connor:

Glass has been one of the biggest surprises at BIBSI due to his elite floor-spacing ability. He is a lethal shooter with a lightning-fast release who works tirelessly to find openings off screens. Defenders can't leave him for a second, and he's learned to use his shooting abilities to attack closeouts with effective shot fakes. He will be vital for the Eagles' offensive flow this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2565194' first='Noah' last='Reyes'] Skyline:

A newcomer to me, Reyes made an immediate statement with his gritty play. He's very effective operating out of the high post, using his body to carve out space and finish near the cup. Defensively, he is a physical competitor who boxes out with purpose and isn't afraid of contact. He looks poised to be a foundational piece for Skyline in the coming months.
