Rice Team Camp: Wings That Owned the Spotlight

The Rice Team Camp featured a loaded collection of versatile wings capable of impacting the game in multiple ways. From explosive athletes to physical scorers and high-motor defenders, this group brought energy, production, and matchup problems all weekend long.    Greyson Celestine showed why versatile forwards are so valuable. The athletic wing displayed strong offensive instincts and consistently found ways to impact the game without needing plays called specifically for him. He ran the floor well, attacked open space aggressively, and flashed the ability to score in a variety of ways. Defensively, his activity and physical tools allowed him to guard multiple positions effectively. Celestine looked like a player whose versatility can fit into a lot of different systems.     Ajani James was one of the more explosive athletes in the gym from start to finish. His combination of length, athleticism, and activity level consistently jumped off the floor, especially in transition situations. He attacked the rim with force and showed the ability to finish through contact while bringing energy defensively as well. James also flashed encouraging versatility offensively, showing he can contribute beyond straight-line drives. The upside is obvious when you watch how naturally he moves and impacts the game physically.     The Grand Oaks wing played with an aggressive edge that immediately stood out. He attacked gaps hard, embraced contact, and consistently pressured defenders with his downhill mentality. What made him especially effective was the motor he played with on both ends of the floor. He competed on the glass, ran the floor hard in transition, and brought physicality that opposing teams struggled to match. His energy alone created momentum swings throughout multiple games.     Zion Alfred was one of the more physically gifted wings at the event. He played above the rim, covered ground effortlessly defensively, and brought impressive athleticism every possession. Offensively, he showed confidence attacking open lanes and creating opportunities in transition. His length and quickness also allowed him to disrupt passing lanes and pressure opposing ball handlers. Alfred's upside was easy to see because of how naturally his athletic tools translated into live game production.     Abbas Fatakdawala was one of the more productive offensive wings at the camp. He consistently found scoring opportunities through movement, smart positioning, and confidence attacking openings. What stood out most was his willingness to stay aggressive offensively without forcing difficult shots. He also showed good instincts as a secondary playmaker and rebounder from the wing spot. Abbas played with confidence and looked comfortable carrying offensive responsibility.
