Zion Alfred was one of the more physically gifted wings at the event. He played above the rim, covered ground effortlessly defensively, and brought impressive athleticism every possession. Offensively, he showed confidence attacking open lanes and creating opportunities in transition. His length and quickness also allowed him to disrupt passing lanes and pressure opposing ball handlers. Alfred’s upside was easy to see because of how naturally his athletic tools translated into live game production.

His defensive prowess on the ball consistently prevented his matchups from gaining any advantages during defensive rotations. Throughout my evaluation, his athleticism was evident in his attacking play on the basket. Even when not attacking, he diligently improved his shooting technique with each game I watched.

Zionne is a great hybrid guard/wing for EOP, and he will play a key role on both sides of the floor this year. His athleticism going to the basket was unmatched in a morning game where he had several tough finishes at the rim and was able to aggressively body his matchup into continuous steals and fastbreak conversions into easy points. Zionne plays with great energy, and I noticed he always is the most vocal one on the floor or the bench when his team is on defense. Look for him to make some noise at EOP this year and give the Kings a vocal boost and contagious energy.

He showcased his improved jump shot from the perimeter, making multiple shots in the championship game and the games leading up to it. While his offensive prowess was evident, he also demonstrated his ability to score reliably in the paint due to his athleticism. Over the past couple of years, I’ve witnessed Zionne’s game develop and he’s shown consistent improvement. As he progresses, I expect Zionne to continue developing and becoming a formidable player in the next two years.
