Three more 2026 prospects have made their decisions.

Six-foot-7 Logan F/C Hayden Bruhn announced this past weekend that he has committed to NAIA University of the Southwest, a private Christian university located in Hobbs.

USW competes in the Red River Athletic Conference. Most RRAC schools are located in Texas and Louisiana.

Bruhn wrapped up a highly successful prep career this past March. He helped lead Logan to the 2025 Class 1A state championship. This past season, Logan again reached the 1A state championship game but lost to Fort Sumner/House.

Bruhn was offered a scholarship by USW on May 25. He scored 1,878 points and grabbed 1,180 rebounds in his prolific four-year career with the Longhorns varsity. He began playing for the Logan varsity as a freshman in 2022-23. He scored at least 500 points in every season after that, including a career high 687 points in 2025-26.

In addition, 2026 Silver PG Simeon Hawkins committed to NMMI. Hawkins helped lead the Colts to the district championship in 4A-3 and a berth in the Class 4A state tournament.

NMMI also gained a commitment from 2026 Del Norte G/F Mumin Omer. The 6-foot-5 Omer averaged 10.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game for the Knights in 2025-26 and helped lead them to the quarterfinals of the Class 4A playoffs after they won the District 4A-6 regular season championship.

Six-foot-5 2026 Rio Rancho F Cayden Richardson was offered by New Mexico Junior College, which is located in Lea County near Hobbs. Richardson averaged over 11 points and about 5 rebounds per game for the Rams in 2025-26. Rio Rancho reached the quarterfinals of the Class 5A state tournament.

Go Stangs!! pic.twitter.com/ducdg5Dogi
— Hayden Bruhn (@hbruhn4) June 20, 2026

After many great conversations, I am blessed to announce I will be attending New Mexico Military institute to continue my athletic and academic journey.
