Duke City Team Camp 2026: Part 1

The Duke City Team Camp took place June 12–15 across five gyms throughout the Albuquerque metro area, bringing together teams from around New Mexico to compete and showcase the improvements they have made during the offseason. The event featured highly competitive matchups, dramatic finishes, and plenty of standout individual performances.   From clutch shots in the closing seconds to teams finishing the weekend undefeated at 6-0, there was no shortage of excitement on the court. The players highlighted on this list separated themselves with their production, effort, and impact on winning. Each demonstrated that they are prepared to compete at a high level and continue building momentum throughout the remainder of the summer.    [player_tooltip player_id='3145862' first='Olon' last='Williams'] is a rising freshman with a year of varsity experience already under his belt, and he showed throughout the weekend just how much his game has evolved over the past year and travel season. A strong-bodied combo guard, Williams impacts the game in a variety of ways and consistently does the little things that help his team succeed.   His basketball IQ is advanced for his age, as evidenced by his ability to read defenses, make timely pocket passes, and contribute on the glass. Throughout the weekend, Olon displayed patience with the ball and a strong understanding of spacing, consistently finding openings in the defense for quality shot opportunities and easy baskets.   Williams also used his strength and ball-handling ability effectively, attacking gaps, finishing through contact, and creating multiple and-one opportunities. As the games progressed, he continued to make winning plays and adjust to what his team needed, whether it was scoring, facilitating, rebounding, or defending. His versatility, physicality, and feel for the game make him a promising young prospect with a bright future.     [player_tooltip player_id='2026077' first='Elijah' last='Martinez'] is a dynamic scoring guard who demonstrated his ability to put points on the board from multiple levels throughout the weekend. He consistently used his speed, ball-handling ability, and change of pace to create separation and get to his preferred spots on the floor. His effectiveness in the mid-range game kept defenders honest and opened up additional scoring opportunities.   Martinez's motor was equally impressive. He played with a high level of energy, constantly moving without the ball and making himself available as a scoring threat. His endurance allowed him to maintain a strong pace throughout games while continuing to impact the action on both ends of the floor.   Known primarily for his scoring ability, Elijah also showed growth in his overall game. His performance reflected the work he has put in to continue developing his skill set, and he consistently found ways to be productive against different defensive looks. His combination of scoring instincts, quickness, and work ethic makes him a player to watch moving forward.     [player_tooltip player_id='2839414' first='Dashon' last='Bynum'] put together a strong weekend performance, showcasing the motor, endurance, and effort that allow him to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He consistently ran the floor, competed on every possession, and played with a level of energy that stood out throughout the event.   Offensively, Dashon displayed excellent footwork on catch-and-shoot opportunities and showed the ability to knock down shots with confidence. His shooting was on full display during the opening day matchup against Las Cruces, where he connected on multiple three-pointers and demonstrated a soft touch from beyond the arc. In one of the weekend's biggest moments, Bynum hit a clutch shot as time expired to send the game into sudden death, highlighting both his confidence and ability to perform under pressure.   Defensively, Dashon contributed with his rebounding, positioning, and willingness to compete for every loose ball. He consistently put himself in the right spots and showed the toughness and hustle needed to win 50/50 possessions. As he continues to develop over the summer, his work ethic, shooting ability, and all-around effort should allow him to take another step forward in the coming months. He showed a strong understanding of spacing and positioning, regularly finding soft spots in the defense and presenting himself as an easy target for his guards. His activity level and energy on both ends of the floor played a major role in his ability to create scoring opportunities and stay involved in the action.   Lovato competed hard for position in the paint, battling for space offensively while also holding his ground defensively. On the defensive end, he used his size and strength effectively to protect the paint and make life difficult for opposing players looking to attack the basket. He consistently forced opponents out of their comfort zones and contested plays around the rim.   Offensively, Noah's physicality was also evident as he finished through contact and converted tough scoring opportunities in traffic. His combination of strength, effort, and understanding of the game allowed him to impact both ends of the floor and make valuable contributions throughout the weekend.
