The Class of 2030 has officially arrived and the incoming high school talent is off the charts! There were many standout players that I watched, over the weekend, at The Champion Center. Here is part 1.

It is hard to believe that Ferguson is only an incoming freshman with how fluid he moves and the maturity in his game. Very athletic player who plays under control and always has his head up looking for the correct read. Equally comfortable showing great court vision, hitting cutting teammates, or calling his own number and getting to the rim, at will and finishing through contact with either hand. Defensively used great timing, and jumping ability to block or alter shots all weekend and, in my opinion, should break in the top 10 in the class of 2030 rankings shortly.

Solid all-around player who does not mind mixing it up in the paint, Coburn was one of the better rebounders that I watched over the weekend. What I was most impressed with was his "quick-jumping" ability often grabbing the board before the opposing players even left the floor. A bit raw offensively, I expect Coburn's game will look a bit different after a year of high school ball under his belt.

I really liked what I saw from Meyer's game, over the weekend, specifically his ability to finish virtually everything from 10 feet and in. Meyer was in his bag with an assortment of spin moves, finger rolls, veers steps, and other nifty moves, finishing as well with either hand often drawing contact in the process.

5-11 Witherow was one of the more impressive all-around players that I watched over the last two days. Defensively he used a seemingly endless motor and active hands to make whoever he was guarding miserable and on the offensive end he showed true three-level scoring ability not only getting to the hoop, with ease, but also knocking down multiple long balls in each game I watched.

I had started hearing about Gardner, in the last few weeks, and he definitely lived up to the hype. A solid, muscular 6-2, Gardner was like a man among boys at times, on the court, imposing his will on both ends. Offensively, he was most impressive showing the ability to get downhill and unstoppable once he had a head of steam initiating contact and finishing through it.
