Coburn competes with a lot of energy and hustle, especially in transition. The freshman out of Indian Trail High School, made things happen in transition converting an impressive and one finish, and looking for opportunities to finish directly at the rim. Brayden also had a nice midrange catch and shoot make, and demonstrated his feel for the game, rolling/cutting to the basket an opportune times.

Solid all-around player who does not mind mixing it up in the paint, Coburn was one of the better rebounders that I watched over the weekend. What I was most impressed with was his “quick-jumping” ability often grabbing the board before the opposing players even left the floor. A bit raw offensively, I expect Coburn’s game will look a bit different after a year of high school ball under his belt.
