The next generation of talent was on full display this weekend, with several middle school prospects proving they are well ahead of the curve. From dominant dual-forward anchors to lightning-quick playmakers, these five names made plenty of noise and forced their way onto the radar.    Thompson looked every bit the part of an elite, high-upside prospect. At 6'4 with exceptional length, he was an absolute matchup nightmare on the perimeter and in the paint. When the ball was in his hands, defense's shifted entirely to contain him, yet Thompson consistently displayed a relentless will to score, routinely powering through initial defenders and help-side rotation alike. Beyond his offensive gravity, he anchored the paint for Team 1, protecting the rim and cleaning up the glass on both ends of the floor. His two-way impact was one of the major storylines of the weekend. Coming off a strong summer with a gritty K9 Elite squad, Kirby brought that signature competitive fire to the camp stage. He set the tone early with elite energy and foot speed, constantly flying around the floor, diving for 50/50 balls, and making winning plays for Team 2. Offensively, Kirby utilized his burst to carve out clean driving lanes. Combined with functional strength and sneaky vertical pop, he routinely finished through contact with impressive, acrobatic touch around the rim.     Another standout representing the rising K9 Elite program, Carbajal entered the weekend determined to make a statement—and did exactly that. The lightning-quick guard gave defenders fits with his ability to stop on a dime, using his elite deceleration to create space for a smooth, soft jumper. But Carbajal wasn't just looking for his own shot; his court vision was on full display, consistently delivering accurate passes right into his teammates' shooting pockets. Team 2 benefited immensely from his combination of elite playmaking and meticulous ball security.     Kelbel, who spent the summer competing at a high level with the [program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'], served as a lethal offensive engine for Team 3. He showed a sophisticated understanding of how to break down his defender, collapse the paint, and make the right basketball play. What stood out most was his steady, unselfish approach; Kelbel never forced the action, letting the game come to him naturally. His patience paid off in dividends, as he consistently generated high-quality looks, racking up both direct assists and hockey assists all weekend long.
