Rhodes had an outstanding start to summer league play with a fantastic performance against Jenks. The junior wing was effective as both a mid-range and 3-point shooter. He looked comfortable and confident taking one dribble and rising up over defenders. His teammates began finding him with consistency and he was able to hit a couple from long range in catch-and-shoot situations as well. Rhodes finished with 27 points to go along with nine rebounds for his East Central squad.

Black produced in a major way for Crossings Christian against Oklahoma Christian Academy. He was a big reason that they were able to come out on top, 82-80. This was an up and down summer league contest with some high-level talent featured. Slade was able to show his three-level scoring prowess against solid defense. He complimented a strong shooting start with putting pressure on the defense off the dribble. The sophomore continues to improve as a ball handler and featured a crossover dribble that was very effective. Black was able to blow past multiple perimeter defenders on two different occasions before showing an ability well above the rim.

Hooks was able to continue playing at a high level against McLain in the Bishop Kelley Summer League. TJ is reading defenses at a very high level without getting sped up. The junior guard was able to rise up and convert when defenders when under screens, while also showing an ability to finish on the break. He ran the wing hard and showed strength finishing through contact at the rim. Defensively, Hooks was engaged producing deflections and turnovers thanks to his active hands. Finally, as a distributor, he was able to provide teammates with rhythm catch-and-shoot triples by playing unselfishly. His ability to offensive rebound and look for others really made a difference and gave his squad confidence.

Carter helped keep his OCA squad in it against Crossings Christian. Despite the two-point loss, Coleman poured in 35 points to go along with eight rebounds. The sophomore was efficient for much of the contest, hitting just under 60% of hist shots from the floor. Carter played poised on the perimeter, and was able to rise up and hit from deep over smaller opponents. He was also able to get to the rim quickly and use his length to navigate around defenders. With his skills outside the arc improving by the day, look for Coleman to continue his stretch of outstanding play.

Robinson had the best performance at the Edmond Memorial Summer League. The 6'3" guard had 43 points and 12 rebounds against Oklahoma Christian Academy. Mar'Quell was on fire from long range, hitting shots off the bounce and in transition. Robinson was able to walk into multiple 3-pointers, allowing himself to get hot. To compliment his great shooting from deep, he was also able to finish inside at a high rate. He loves finishing on the right side of the bucket and has a go-to hesitation move that can get him just enough separation to finish inside.
