We spent last weekend at Greensboro Day for NCISAA Live Session One and there was a ton of talent on display. We've already covered some standouts from Friday night and earlier in the day Saturday but we're going to turn our focus to the guys that held it down during the late stretch of the day!

West is a guy we've seen a lot from early on after a really strong Freshman season at Grace Christian where he showed consistent flashes of high level ability. As a wing with some size and athleticism, West possesses legit outside touch and just a natural high level of self belief in his overall game at this stage of his development. As he continues to add strength to his frame and garner more high level experience under his belt, I fully expect the evolution of West to continue as he's a very intriguing member of this 2029 class. Those rankings will drop soon and it'll be interesting to see where West stacks up in the first drop of this stacked class.

Moore is really really emerging as a prospect right now as his production, effort, and natural gifts are flat out undeniable at this point. In the Greenfield win vs Christ School, Moore was absolutely flying around and leaving his mark on all aspects of the game. He was in attack mode early, looking to finish in traffic with authority, and was swarming the glass with purpose. Moore showed the ability to connect from beyond the arc as well. The biggest difference is the strength he's added to his frame, allowing him to really play through contact and bump weaker defenders off their spots on his drives. He's got a chance to be a slow riser in this stacked 2028 class and there's a lot to like from Moore at this stage with plenty of further development to pick up on down the line.

Robinson is still one of the more under the radar talents in North Carolina and he recently announced his transfer to Gaston Day and I don't think he'll be super under the radar for too much longer. Robinson possesses a lot of offensive ability at his size with the ability to use his handle to break defenders down off the bounce. Robinson can make outside shots and is a weapon in transition with his size + athleticism. As Robinson continues to get more and more experience with [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] 3SSB and Gaston Day, his feel will greatly improve as well. He's a real prospect to watch in this 2028 class as a wing scorer with still a lot of untapped upside.

This Concord Academy group has one of the more well rounded rosters in North Carolina and a lot of that is due to the fact that they have one of the most well rounded players regardless of class in [player_tooltip player_id='2709267' first='James' last='Minlend']. His length, two way instincts, and ability to exploit advantageous matchups allow Minlend to play a low maintenance high production game. Minlend gets his offense in a variety of ways, finishes at the rim, mid-post isolations, and operating as a screener where he's comfortable rolling or popping. He really shines defensively as he possesses the physical tools to guard nearly everyone on the floor. Minlend's offer list has grown in recent weeks and I fully expect that to continue as he possesses so many traits that translate to the next level.

Bowden was a flat out difference maker for Gaston Day and it was his on ball pressure on the defensive end of the floor that really stood out throughout the afternoon action. It's so rare to find a kid that really embraces guarding like he does, he's a true disruptor without really ever getting himself out of position. Offensively he provides a steady hand at the PG spot with more than enough skill level to provide a real contribution on the scoresheet. Seeing a kid with the approach Bowden has is always a joy and I can only imagine coaching him is the same. He'll undoubtedly be amongst the ranked when we update the rankings for 2028 later in the summer!

In what was a somewhat difficult weekend for Christ School, [player_tooltip player_id='2683034' first='Hudson' last='Hatch'] found a way to shine with his intriguing combination of size and skill on full display. Hatch's ability to protect the rim along with his touch from deep makes him a guy that oozes long term appeal to next level coaches. Hatch also possesses the ability to operate in the low post with great touch on his jump hooks over either shoulder. Hatch is looking to join the lineage high level inside/out bigs out of North Carolina and he'll certainly be a big riser in our next 2028 update!
