The 17u division of the Prep Hoops Circuit's Great Lakes Closer was a very exciting event. There were players featuring a variety of skill sets at the event. We're going to look at some of the top shooters that we saw at the Great Lakes Closer.

Jones shot the leather off the ball all weekend for the [program_tooltip program_id='2948714' first='Motor' last='City Dragons']. I had at least 4 triples recorded in their final game, but the game before that, it felt like he hit even more. Jones is a confident shooter who stays eyes on the rim and gets off shots even with traffic around him. He's not the tallest player, but it had zero effect on his shot at the Great Lakes Closer. Jones basically shot through defenders.

We mentioned Losey and his hot shooting when we named him a Great Lakes Closer 17u All-Star. He was playing up an age group and still managed to be electrifying. Losey showed that he could be a consistent and dangerous spot up shooter. His most impressive triple though, was when he used a pass fake, the defender bit on it, and he fired up the 3 pointer.

There's 2 sides to the Munro story. I wrote in a preview article that I wanted to see more of the point guard side of his game. So I'll start by saying that he did do that. Munro was much more selective with his shot and moved the ball more. That being said, this might have been his most efficient shooting performance of the grassroots season. I think he found the secret sauce to his jumper and offensive game.

Crawford was another player whose shooting we mentioned when we named him an All-Star at the event. But you don't score 27 points in a game off 3's alone and not get put in the shooters article. Crawford is a great young man who deserves a great day like this. He showed that he was dangerous off the catch, but could also walk into a 3 and catch the defense napping.

Thompson played up multiple age groups on Sunday. Keep that in mind when I say that he was critical in a huge Michigan Jayhawks win that put them at 3-0 and in the driver's seat to come out on top of the pool. He scorched the net with at least 5 triples that I had written down. And he hit them from multiple spots around the arc. Thompson buried 3 from the wing and 2 from the right corner.

The 17u division of the Prep Hoops Circuit's Great Lakes Closer was a very exciting event. There were players featuring a variety of skill sets at the event. We're going to look at some of the top shooters that we saw at the Great Lakes Closer.
