GBCA Live Period Saturday Standouts

The intensity was evident throughout the day as teams battled in highly competitive matchups from start to finish. As a lead guard he handles ball pressure well and orchestrates an offense efficiently. He is very good at making reads look easy in ball screen situations. Coleman is more than a facilitator, he can really score it in the lane with a quick first step and nice handle to get by defenders. He also has a nice mid range game and knocked down several jumpers off the dribble from there. A growing three point shooter as well. To start he has a strong build with length and is quite the athlete. Right off the bat he passes the eye test for the next level. His scoring ability is impressive as well, whether finishing high above the rim in the half court on nice drives to the basket or knocking it down town at a high clip he is a threat that poses a lot of problems for defenses. He is always a threat to get down hill and score the basketball around the cup using his speed and finesse. Along with his speed his high IQ and ability to play off two in the lane help him have a ton of control when flying up and down the floor. He hit one of the craziest shots I saw all weekend to end the half as time expired and just showed his poise in key moments. As far as scoring he can do it all. His ability to get to the cup using his body and speed makes him a dangerous scorer on the interior. From outside he's a reliable catch and shoot guy who can get hot and change the dynamic of a game. A capable wing that is effective slashing to the rim and creating his own looks flying into the lane while also being a reliable back to the basket traditional post. He can space the floor from the arc as well with nice touch and a solid shot from deep that makes him that much more of a threat to slash into the lane and score. He plays with a ton of heart on both ends and makes a lot of winning plays. Offensively his ability to find teammates with his floor vision and create offense without scoring is super impressive and something that is needed at the next level. He understand though how to be a threat to score in his own right and will put his head down and get to the rim to create his own offensive. Mitchell is super versatile using his athleticism and strength to play both in the post and on the wing, providing valuable scoring from both positions. Mitchell is relentless getting to the cup and does a nice job of playing off two when defenses collapse. His outside game is improving too, he knocked down a few threes with confidence this weekend.
