Five District 10 2027s That Must Be On Your Radar

Some of these 2027s haven't seen a lot of varsity time yet, and others are well known throughout District 10. But each is expected to make quite an impact for their team next season.    [player_tooltip player_id='3532515' first='Braelyn' last='Lockett'] is a District 10 player who should be on everyone's radar this upcoming high school season. What stands out most is the growth as a player. He came into the year looking raw at times, but as the season progressed and throughout the AAU spring sessions, he started to put everything together. He has always been physical, but the finesse has started to catch up. He is becoming a more complete player who can affect the game on both ends. Lockett rebounds well, finishes strong around the basket, and gives his team a real presence in the paint.     [player_tooltip player_id='2427351' first='Marco' last='Pfister']'s opportunity is starting to catch up with his ability. The 2027 Cathedral Prep guard has spent time behind one of the better backcourt groups in the region. That should change soon. Pfister has waited his turn and has the skill set to become a much bigger piece for the Ramblers next season. He can shoot it from deep and also has the handle to put the ball on the ground. Pfister's midrange game is another important part of his profile. He is a great defender and willing to put his body on the line for charges.     [player_tooltip player_id='2569794' first='Elijah' last='Roberson'] spent the high school season behind a very talented Ramblers backcourt, so his varsity role did not fully reflect the player he is becoming. That should change soon. Roberson has the tools, motor, and confidence to become a much bigger piece for Prep next season. His game fits the tempo that the Ramblers like to play in. Roberson is excellent in transition, runs the floor hard, and knows how to turn defense into offense. He has a quick first step and can score in multiple ways. He also has enough range to keep defenders honest. Roberson has also shown during the spring AAU sessions that he can produce when the ball is in his hands more often.     [player_tooltip player_id='2427346' first='Ahmari' last='Horton'] is already a proven game changer. The 2027 Cathedral Prep guard was one of the Ramblers' most dangerous offensive weapons, and his role should only continue to grow. With several seniors graduating, Horton will be the primary piece. Horton has deep range, a quick release, and the confidence scouts like to see. Defenders cannot afford to lose him on the perimeter or close out casually. What makes his game even more interesting is that he can play with the ball in his hands as well. He creates scoring chances for himself or others. Defensively, Horton brings quickness and active hands. He has the tools to pressure guards and disrupt opposing offenses. Horton would be my vote for the District 10 preseason player of the year.     [player_tooltip player_id='3591750' first='Roman' last='Caporale'] is a standout combo guard who has already shown he can impact the game in multiple ways. He was the second-leading scorer for Iroquois this past season and earned 2nd Team All-Region recognition. He has the ball skills of a guard and the size and athleticism of a forward. He is confident in creating his own shot and can also finish athletically around the rim. He can function as a shooting guard or wing, knock down shots, attack gaps, and bring value as a secondary creator. Caporale averaged 16 points per game during AAU spring session play.
