Horton leaves his mark on the game and a volume scorer. He finds different ways to put the ball in the cup. Horton can acquire a bucket in a matter of a blink of an eye. He is in the right spots on the floor to come up with steals. Due to the departure of seniors on his high school team he should be an increased scoring role since his team is losing a lot of it’s scoring.

Ahmari Horton Ahmari Horton 6'1" | CG Cathedral Prep | 2027 State PA has taken a huge jump this season, marked by his recent 43 point effort that broke the Cathedral Prep single-game scoring record. He gets his shots off quickly, has probably the best mid-range game in District 10, and also has plenty of range beyond the arch. Defensively, he is solid and his speed is an excellent fit for Prep’s full court press. His leadership skills have grown, which will be needed next season as Prep graduates several senior starters.

Horton is a guard who likes to show his ability to be a natural scorer. He really prefers to show his ability to get downhill to different spots on the attack. Horton can be a threat from behind the arc. He finds ways to get into passing lanes. I would like to see Horton improve on his efficiency he can be high volume at times.

Ahmari Horton Ahmari Horton 6'1" | CG Cathedral Prep | 2027 State PA , a 6’1″ shooting guard from Cathedral Prep made a significant impact during his sophomore season. Horton emerged as a formidable scoring threat from all areas of the court. His shooting was a cornerstone of his game. He knows how to position himself to get open looks, and his quick catch-and-release would often catch defenders off-guard. Horton displayed craftiness with the ball and excellent body control. Horton’s contributions were particularly notable during Cathedral Prep’s playoff run and his consistent performances were instrumental in Cathedral Prep’s advancement to the state quarterfinals.

Horton provided a spark with his scoring and found the bucket in a plethora of different ways. He kept plays alive with his hustle and played with no fear. He rebounded and showed that he could make the extra pass. He had 16 points with three 3 pointers. He did most of his damage in the 2nd quarter with 15 points coming then.
