East Coast Live Team Preview: St. Christopher's School

The East Coast Live held at the Henrico Event Center features 130 teams and some of the top talent and teams on the East Coast. Here is a deeper look at one of the top teams in Richmond, VA, with a new look identity with some familiar faces and new faces to the squad. St. Chris is looking to build on their recent success.    [player_tooltip player_id='2470566' first='Brady' last='Burnette'] has been talked about heavily throughout the summer, and in June, he has been one of the nation's best shooters and flat-out scorers. He exploded for a 45-point game at the VISAA Live event in Alexandria and averaged nearly 28 PPG. He is a lights-out shooter with a quick trigger and a crafty ball-handler who can create off the bounce for himself or others. What has impressed me most with Brady is how he's been able to take a major leap each year in his game and his role for St. Chris. He will be the focal point of their offense, and it's easy to see why he is a highly sought-after scorer and shooter for Division 1 programs. I fully expect him to increase stock even more this weekend.     Damari is one of the nation's best point guards in his class and already holds 4 high-major Division 1 offers. Damari is a phenomenal playmaker and has elite athleticism, who can hurt opposing defenses with his quick first step to attack the rim or with his pull-up jumper. Damari was a big reason for St. Chris' success last year as he came in and made an immediate impact. What I love most about his game is his ability to defend at a high level on and off the ball. He had a game last year as a freshman where he had 9 steals in a single game; that kind of performance is rare, especially from a freshman. He plays with great maturity beyond his years and will show that once again this weekend why he is the top PG in the state, regardless of class.     Dizru is a new transfer to St. Chris but has made his presence felt early, he does all the little things and competes at a high level. Dizru is a versatile wing who can score from multiple levels, and is a very good defender. He has played up with [program_tooltip program_id='3424568' first='Team' last='Loaded Gold'] 17u which has helped his growth tremendously and he has really taken a lot of leaps in his game on both sides of the ball. What I like most about him is he is willing to do whatever it takes to help the team and to make them successful; he plays multiple positions and we've often seen him play out of position but he never complains and isn't afraid to compete against anyone. I fully expect Dizru to have a monster Junior year and take a massive leap this year as a player.     [player_tooltip player_id='3275793' first='Obi' last='Pinn'] is another transfer who has reclassified to the 2028 class. He has really taken a big leap in his game this summer, playing with [program_tooltip program_id='3424568' first='Team' last='Loaded Gold'] 17u. He is a very high-IQ guard who can play on or off the ball and light it up from beyond the arc. Obi is a very good defender who loves to pick up 94 feet and often turns the opposing guards multiple times in the full court. He is still finding himself and his role as a piece to the puzzle, but it's easy to see he will be a major piece to their team with his experience, shooting ability, and ball control. Obi is a very high percentage shooter and does a great job finding his shots from 3 or in the midrange. He will be a highly sought-after guard moving forward for College programs,    In conclusion, St. Chris has really put together a fast-paced and very high-percentage shooting team. They have a new look identity, but once they figure it out and play together, they will be a scary team moving forward with their speed and athleticism on both sides of the ball. I fully expect them to be one of the top teams in the Prep League once again and be one of the best teams in the Richmond area.
