Class of 2028 Wings Rise Up Ranks

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your subscription***</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What wing prospects in the 2028 class impressed our PHI staff enough to get a boost in the latest rankings update?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3454823' first='Landon' last='Ray'] (Prospect)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ray moved up 80+ spots in the latest update after a monster spring with Midwest Bobcats.  At about 6'5” with broad shoulders, long frame with strength, skill, and athleticism he reminds us a little of Ben VanderWal from a few years back.  Legit three level scoring threat that had it all working knocking in jumpers along with scoring inside.  Excellent footwork in the paint, but also on the perimeter as he had his defenders on skates multiple times with creative drives to the rim.  Loved his passing as a playmaking forward in ball screens and on the move finding guys.  Played above the rim throwing down lobs and cutting off the ball.  Defensively he jumped several passing lanes for finishes on the other end showing nice anticipation.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2751064' first='Cesaire' last='Bile'] (Galesburg)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bile is a long and versatile small forward from Galesburg that is a great glue guy for [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] coming off the bench as the 2028 small forward can defend multiple positions, be a connective passer, and score when given opportunities.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3454838' first='Cole' last='Tillman'] (Mendota)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We were conservative with his ranking after the high school season and Tillman made a significant jump with his play for the Wolves.&nbsp; The 6'5” small forward has nice size, rebounds well, and has a skilled overall game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2433752' first='Walker' last='Ross'] (St. Ignatius)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ross was outstanding when we saw him at Run N Slam.&nbsp; The Iggy shooting guard played quite a bit with the ball in his hands and lit it up with his passing making others better along with getting after it defensively.&nbsp; Converted steals for points.&nbsp; Crafty finisher around the cup that got to the line at a nice clip.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2991012' first='Jailan' last='Bunch'] (Springfield Lanphier)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Super smooth wing that has a clean looking jump shot especially off the catch from the corners.&nbsp; Slick ball handler that got to the rim with relative ease converting at the rim when we saw him with IBG.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2569185' first='Bryce' last='Bohnhoff'] (Dietrich)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The athletic pop has gotten significantly better since we last saw the 6'4” small forward.&nbsp; At the Southern Illinois Spring Showcase he was aggressive and explosive taking it to the cup and throwing down big dunks and spinning layups.&nbsp; Good athlete with fluid movement skills along with a nice looking jumper both pulling up and off the catch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2369863' first='KT' last='Thomas'] (Decatur MacArthur)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Played quite a bit on the ball this spring for [program_tooltip program_id='2836391' first='Illinois' last='Warriors Elite'] up on the 17U level.&nbsp; Long and angular prospect who has greatly improved as a facilitator with his crisp passing in the half court.&nbsp; Slick ball handler with a streaky shot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
