The 2028 rankings update came out on Tuesday with a little over 225 prospects being part of the update. New prospects enter the rankings all the time, and this update is no different. Here are the top newcomers in the 2028 rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='2504903' first='Dylan' last='Cowell'], 6'8 PF Blair Academy

Cowell reclassified into the 2028 class on his move to Blair, making him the top newcomer to the 2026 rankings update. The 6'8 forward has a good face-up game as he can get to the rim off the bounce and has a high release on his jumper. Cowell uses his strong frame to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to swat shots around the rim. Cowell is a talented forward prospect who should see his offer sheet rise over the next couple of months with his ability to swat shots and stretch the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='3653255' first='Pierluca' last='Ferdinand'], 6'7 SG/SF St. Peter's Prep

Ferdinand has had a big spring as he's picked up multiple D1 offers. The 6'7 wing has a nice first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and can draw contact around the rim. Ferdinand moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated passer. Ferdinand is a lanky guard prospect whose ability to make plays at both ends of the floor should help his game in a big way over the next couple of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628179' first='Mason' last='Murawski'], 6'3 CG Middle Township

Murawski moved into the 2028 class after his transfer to Hun, making him eligible for the rankings. The 6'3 guard has a smooth release on his jumper as he wastes little motion and can knock down triples in bunches. Murawski can also get into the paint off the bounce and is able to find his open teammates in the half court. He slides his feet on the defensive end and rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands. Murawski is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance over the next couple of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2390579' first='Cameron' last='Hines'], 6'6 PF/CG Pennington School

Hines moved into the Garden State on his transfer into Pennington and should make an impact right away. The 6'6 forward has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and knows how to finish around the rim. Hines can also get position in the paint and is able to pass out of the post. He is a solid rebounder and holds his ground on the defensive end. Hines' versatility is something that will help his game in a big way over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='3657662' first='Layne' last='Pawlowski'], 6'6 SF/PFm Hillsborough

Pawlowski can play either forward spot, making him an intriguing prospect to track in the class. The 6'6 forward has a high release on his jumper and makes opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. Pawlowski rises up for dunks in the half court and is able to get to the rim off the bounce. He is an underrated rebounder and uses his length to alter shots on the defensive end. Pawlowski's ability to play either forward spot is something that will help his development throughout the course of the summer.

Other Prospects to Track:

[player_tooltip player_id='2694943' first='Jayden' last='Ortiz-Muhammad'], 5'10 CG Pennington

[player_tooltip player_id='3580003' first='Gav' last='Klatzkin'], 5'10 [player_tooltip player_id='3665515' first='PG' last=''] Kushner
