The Under Armour Grind Session made its stop at DL6 in Piedmont, South Carolina this weekend, bringing together talent from across the country and giving some of South Carolina's youngest prospects another opportunity to compete in front of scouts. While plenty of familiar names continued to produce, several 2029 prospects used the event to elevate their stock with strong play, intriguing long-term tools, and flashes of upside. These are some of the 2029s who stood out and deserve to be on your radar moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='3472536' first='Eli' last='Howard'] headlines the 2029s to Know From UA Grind Greenville. This was my first look at [program_tooltip program_id='2076394' first='Carolina' last='Premier'] this season and my first time watching Howard in person, and neither disappointed. Eli is one of the best shooters in South Carolina's 2029 class, and he is one of only two rising sophomores with a D1 offer (Campbell). His ability to catch and shoot on the wing provides a lot of space for other guards to work, but he can be the primary ball-handler and run the offense for stretches, too.

Another J.L. Mann and [program_tooltip program_id='2076394' first='Carolina' last='Premier'] guard to know is Foster. Like Eli, Luke is versatile in his ability to play the one or the two, depending on personnel. I was very impressed with the shot-making ability from the lefty on Saturday, as he was an efficient catch-and-shoot option and showed off comfort driving closeouts and pulling up in the mid-range. Foster is also an active communicator on both ends of the floor, which is a valuable asset off the bench for this team.

Switching over to [program_tooltip program_id='2076394' first='Carolina' last='Premier']'s UA Rise team, [player_tooltip player_id='3657148' first='Nash' last='Rouse'] is a true Point Guard who I enjoyed watching this weekend. He put up 5 second-half assists in a game one win and had a pair of late free throws to ice the game. Rouse was at his best when he penetrated the defense off the dribble and kicked to open shooters, but he also had a few excellent plays in transition. Nash doesn't have a ton of physical advantages right now, but if he continues to take care of the ball and make his teammates better, it will be hard not to give him minutes at the varsity level.

Continuing the theme of emerging 2029 Point Guards, South Pointe and [program_tooltip program_id='3599030' first='No' last='Guts No Glory SC']'s [player_tooltip player_id='3656381' first='Braylon' last='Edrington'] is one to get familiar with. Edrington was one of the best perimeter defenders I saw in Greenville on Saturday. He racked up 6 steals to go with 6 points and 3 assists in a huge come-from-behind victory over Indiana Blackout. NGNG struggled over the first few minutes of the game, but when Braylon checked back in midway through the first half, his team ended the half on a 28-2 run, in part because of his active hands, terrific instincts, and ability to turn that defense into easy offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2948752' first='Malik' last='Woods'] was on loan with the Midlands-based Southeast Elite this weekend at UA Grind Greenville. Woods was effective as a pass-first Point Guard, racking up 10 points and 5 assists in a win over Alabama Truth Select. Whether it's in the half-court or on the break, Malik always has his head up looking to find an open teammate. He puts good touch on the ball and can fit passes through tight windows, too. Just because he's an elite passer doesn't mean he won't be aggressive as a scorer, though, because Woods can pull up from three off the dribble or get to the paint and finish around bodies when a bucket is needed.

Another Lugoff-Elgin and Southeast Elite guard rounds out the list. Johnson had 13 points by my count in the game two win, hitting some important shots for his team in both halves. Isaiah is a capable shooter off the catch, which creates much-needed space for his talented guards to work. However, he doesn't just sit in the corner and wait. Johnson is active without the ball in his hands, will make the extra pass around the perimeter, and has a good enough handle to attack the basket and finish with his left hand.
