The final day of the live period saw some intense action with a bunch of college coaches getting their last look at prospects with their grassroots teams until July. In this article I'll break down my national standouts from Sunday's action.

Diamond filled up the stat sheet in a win over Midwest Basketball Club with 16 points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals. That defensive impact is where I was most impressed with Diamond as he provided tough on-ball defensive pressure and Diamond is explosive enough to turn those steals into layups and dunks on the other end. Diamond holds Division I offers from a handful of mid major programs on the west coast and projects as an impact perimeter defender with the quick twitch athleticism to pop at that level. I'd expect schools that have already offered him to make him a priority this summer as he will not be overmatched physically in college.

[program_tooltip program_id='3514498' first='Slow' last='Grind Elite'] had an excellent Sunday, blowing out Indiana Elite in each team's final game of the spring 3SSB season. Yarbrough dominated with his strong frame playing off two feet and taking smart shots. Scoring 30 points on 13/15 shooting from the floor is ridiculous in a major shoe circuit game and it's because Yarbrough got some easy buckets by working off his teammates, hit shots off the catch and displayed his advanced understanding of how to play. A bit of an under the radar name, Yarbrough was named to the all breakout team by The Circuit after Session I and entered the weekend 10th in TS% on the 3SSB Circuit at the 17 U level. After the ridiculously efficient performance Yarbrough had on Sunday, I'd imagine he's climbed up a few spots on that list. West Coast Division I programs need to check out Yarbrough during the summer because his offer list should not be empty.

Hopkins is a dominant athlete at the 15 U level as the multi-sport standout dominated for an Indiana Elite 15 U squad that is running roughshod though the 3SSB circuit so far. Hopkins is physical, wants to play above the rim, crashes the offensive glass and throws his weight around. All of these skills allow him to overpower the mostly skinnier bigs that he sees at the 15 U level. Hopkins is incredibly efficient because a majority of his shots come within five feet or less due to his physical advantages. Already holding a pair of Division I football offers, Hopkins could generate some Division I interest on the hardwood when college coaches spend more time watching class of 2029 prospects.

It's always impressive when players are dominant on top shoe circuits at the 17 U level before they are a rising senior and this is the second season where Kelly has done just that for Breakaway Basketball. Kelly has added a lot of functional weight which allows him to not get pushed off his driving angle and finish through contact. While some people might characterize Kelly as a shooter, he was one of the most impactful players on the court despite a subpar game from 3-point range. Kelly rebounds the ball at a high rate and sets teammates up thanks to the gravity he has on and off the ball. A prospect we are just higher than the rest of the industry on, Kelly is a clear high major priority recruit in the class of 2028.

Michigan has a lot of talent in the 2028 and 2029 classes and Hunter had a strong weekend for Phenom United 16 U. In their blowout victory over Breakaway Basketball Hunter shot over 80% from the floor and used his relentless attacking style to get points at the rim. Hunter combines impressive ball skills with a strong frame and a relentless attacking style. Hunter was efficient thanks to his ability to get to the rim and finish through contact. Next step for Hunter will be to consistently knock down 3-point shots and limit turnovers. One of the top prospects in Michigan's 2028 class, Hunter is a name mid to high major programs should be checking out during the June live periods.

The final day of the live period saw some intense action with a bunch of college coaches getting their last look at prospects with their grassroots teams until July. In this article I'll break down my national standouts from Sunday's action.
