Gillispie was instant offense off the bench in a recently streamed game against a 17U team. Has the making of a high level shot maker off the dribble. Utilizing ball screens or his handle and height advantage to pull up in the midrange and from deep. Brought a similar attacking mindset on defense. Including a steal and score that he created by being a physical off the ball defender. The raw tools are there for Gillispie to make one of the bigger leaps in the 2028 class in Oklahoma. And the signs are there he's very capable of looking like a different type of player by this winter.

One of the few true old school set up point guards in Oklahoma. Has good vision and feel. From making the simple but important passes along the perimeter. Togetting into the teeth of the defense and threading the needle with pocket passes in the paint or kick outs to open shooters. Plays defense with a strong motor and the required chip on the shoulder for smaller guards to be irritants and havoc causers. Often settles into a pass first, stir the pot role, but has a potentially underrated offensive game. With a bag of moves to get separation in the mid-range and deep range that extends past the high school three point line.

While Smith is working on developing perimeter aspects to his game, one aspect has stayed the same. His motor. Approaches the game with a mindset that every rebound on both ends of the court belongs to him. He's especially effective in that approach because he has a strong second jump. Those qualities lead to highlight reel quality putback dunks and alley oops, which shows even gritty players can produce the best highlights.

Recently watched back a couple of games of Heskett on BallerTV to better get a feel for the rising sophomore's game. As have been accustomed to watching him in a supporting role for a deep high school squad. The first contest watched was a quieter scoring game for Heskett. But he turned up the production in the second. Made good use of ball screens, setting himself and his teammates up for quality looks. Had one quick thinking moment where mid shot he passed up a good look for a great look to feed a cutting teammate. Looked to do a good job of playing at his own pace with patience. Appears to be doing a good job of balancing showcasing his scoring skills (loves a pull up 3 attempt, for good reason) with also setting up teammates.

Davis has emerged as a quick and feisty lead guard for Southern Assault Texhoma. The 405 guard has a good first step and shiftiness, which leads to constant rim pressure. In the game watched he also mixed in mid-range pull ups to take advantage of defenders overcompensating for him off the bounce. At times in the games watched he was a bit focused on only the rim, but there were moments of good passes. Plays with some fight and as an instigator on defense.

Finding the right balance between scoring and passing will be crucial for his development as a true lead guard. Davis is making a jump this spring and summer that should help his Noble Bears build off an Area finish in 5A.

Rebounding and a good motor will go a long way for players over 6 foot 6 and Williams understands that well. While he has some perimeter skills, he's unafraid of being a hard hat player around the hoop. Battles for position and also chases downs rebounds. Applies similar workman like qualities to his willingness to break down and defend when along the perimeter. Grinder of a big, who looks well set to make a bigger impact for a Southmoore team coming off a 6A State Tournament appearance.
