DMV Live: MD/VA Under the Radar Prospects

Division I college coaches were on the road throughout the country this weekend for the May evaluation period, and many made their way to Baltimore for DMV Live. Several of the area's top travel programs were in attendance as well, giving prospects another opportunity to perform in front of college staffs from every level. Here is a look at some of the under the radar prospects who turned heads with their play this weekend.    Garland is a versatile, athletic combo forward who impacts the game in a variety of ways on both ends of the floor. A high level athlete, he can score at all three levels and consistently finishes above the rim with explosiveness in transition and around the basket. Garland is also capable of attacking the paint off the bounce, using his athleticism and body control to create scoring opportunities. Defensively, his versatility allows him to guard nearly any position on the floor, and he rebounds effectively at both ends with his activity level, length, and motor.     A new prospect on our radar, Anderson scored 11 points in a win over NOVA 94 Feet. The high academic guard has good positional size, a high basketball IQ, and consistently makes smart plays within the flow of the game. Anderson is a reliable shot maker with range who can knock down perimeter shots both off the catch and off the dribble, giving him versatility as a scorer. His combination of size, feel, shooting ability, and academic profile should continue to attract attention moving forward.     The junior forward is a skilled frontcourt prospect with inside/outside ability and a well rounded offensive game. Cryan is a very good passer, especially from the high post, where his feel and decision making consistently stand out. He possesses good footwork, soft touch around the rim, and the ability to knock down open shots, making him effective in both pick and pop situation. In addition to his offensive versatility, Cryan rebounds well at both ends of the floor and competes consistently around the basket. His combination of skill, feel, and frontcourt versatility makes him a prospect college coaches should continue to track closely this summer.     Whitehouse is a frontcourt prospect in the 2027 class who brings toughness and a strong interior presence to the floor. He consistently looks to establish position and score on the block, showing a willingness to compete in the paint and battle for rebounds on both ends. Whitehouse rebounds his area well, plays with good activity around the basket, and also has the ability to step out and knock down an open midrange jumper. His combination of size, effort, and interior scoring ability makes him an frontcourt prospect for college coaches to evaluate.     Cerny is a wing with good positional size who consistently provides perimeter scoring and floor spacing for [program_tooltip program_id='2076989' first='Mid' last='Atlantic Select']. A capable shot maker with deep range on his jumper, he shows very good shot preparation and confidence as a perimeter shooter. Cerny also does a good job attacking closeouts with straight line drives and has the ability to knock down midrange pull up jumpers off the dribble. His combination of size, shooting ability, and offensive versatility makes him an intriguing wing prospect.
