Kentuckiana is well represented on the national stage with several players catching the attention of mega platforms such as ESPN and 247Sports. Powered by the top shoe circuits, the following guys have made a name for themselves as some of the top prospects in the country:    Having been the undisputed #1 2029 prospect in KY across all platforms for the past year, Grivna's name has finally emerged as one of the best of his class in the nation. After a dominant freshman campaign for Ballard this past season, he earned All-7th Region, All-State and even MaxPreps All-American honors. Since then, Grivna has caught the attention of USA Basketball, Adidas' NextGen EuroLeague, and of course several Division 1 college programs. He sits comfortably as KY's highest ranked recruit, regardless of class, after debuting at #17 in ESPN's national 2029 rankings.     Noah's name has been well known across KY and IN for many years now, but his growth remains steady in an upward trajectory. He led New Albany to a Class 4A Final Four this past season, earning All-Conference and IBCA underclassmen honors along the way. Since then, he's played a big role for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] on the EYBL circuit thus far. He already holds several Power 4 offers and interest in addition to nods from the likes of USA Basketball amongst other accolades. He's the highest ranked recruit in a loaded Kentuckiana area in ESPN's latest 2028 rankings, coming in at #38 in the nation.     Josh has exploded on the national scene over the past two years thanks to his pro-level athleticism and emphatic dunking ability. His leadership roles in St.X's KHSAA championship berth and with Mokan on the EYBL circuit, however, have allowed him to put the full gamut of his abilities on display. Knock down shooting, shot creation, and facilitation skills included. Now, he's reemerged as KY's highest ranked 2028 prospect, sitting at #42 in ESPN's latest national rankings. With NIL deals, Power 4 offers, a Wooten 150 invite, and most recently an invite to Nike's Elite 100 camp, the recognition continues to roll in for the young phenom.     As far as the conversation goes surrounding KY's top 2028, Jordan remains the pick for a lot of folks. He put the city of Louisville on notice years ago but his sophomore campaign as the 7th Region's leading scorer (24.2PPG), solidified him as one of the most talented prospects in the state, regardless of class. He's kept the ball rolling so far this spring, leading [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] with team bests of nearly 19PPG and 4APG on the EYBL circuit and thus, was invited to Nike's Elite 100 camp. Having picked up several Power 4 offers so far already, he comes in as the #43 2028 prospect in the nation per ESPN's latest rankings.     Ferlandes, a Louisville-native and a University of Louisville commit, achieved the most prestigious honor of travel basketball last year after helping [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] EYBL to a U16 Peach Jam title. He followed the championship up with a transfer announcement from Fairdale to La Lumiere School, a Nike EYBL Scholastic League member. After a successful year of leading the Lakers in rebounds and blocks, recent news indicates that he'll be back with Fairdale this summer to compete in summer league activities. At the center of the transfer excitement sits the #79 prospect in the nation's 2027 class per ESPN and a high major addition to KY basketball if he decides to stay past June.     Before it's all said and done, Austin could go down as one of the best pure scorers in KY basketball history, but his game doesn't stop there. Although he missed about half of his sophomore campaign, he made an immediate impact on all facets of the game for Montgomery County. His work continues to show on the national stage with Brad Beal Elite of Nike's EYBL circuit where he averages over 14 PPG. He received his first collegiate offer during his freshman campaign, and his stock continues to rise, now holding 10 D1 offers and counting. He's the #13 ranked PG in the country per ESPN.
