I attended the annual Prep Hoops AZ Bash in the Desert at the Phhacility in Phx May 1-3. I viewed nearly every team in the 17U division and came up with nine all-17U Teams.

Here is the 9th and final 17U team

[player_tooltip player_id='2574803' first='Joshua' last='Blevins'] Skyline Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] 17 Rise)

A long and taller power forward who is slowly figuring it out. He shows you some flashes of his game with high level dunks, gobbling up rebounds in and out of his area and blocking shots impressively. He will score it with put backs and threes off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='3625550' first='Isaac' last='Mendele'] Sabino (Tucson Spartans Grind 17)

An undersized scoring lead guard is a sophomore who can break out next season for the Tucson based team. He will score it with and-1 takes with his longer strides and he is a good passer. He has a deceptively quick first step to get downhill and does not mind the contact.

Talan Sprouse PG 5'9 2026 Glendale Prep (UH Elite 17 Blue)

A sharp shooting lead guard made some impressive up the court ropes on a dime to his teammates. He reads the court well and is very skilled. He ended up getting injured but before he did he was rattling in triples one by one (actually made four) and every shot looked good coming off of his hands. He is undersized but tough, smart and skilled.

[player_tooltip player_id='2339785' first='Zack' last='Vendrell'] Sequoia National (Sequoia National 17)

A combo guard is another sniper. He is a catch and shoot three point type off catch but can pull-up off the dribble as well. He comes with a quicker trigger and it looks pure every attempt. He has a deceptively quick first to get a step on his defender to score it at the basket.

Karmello Walker SF 6'3 2026 Trevor Browne (Area Code Elite 17) (Pictured)

A powerfully built wing forward has a great motor to rebound and he is hyper athletic. He will collect steals, rebound and block shots out of his area with his length, twitch and sheer effort. He will score it with occasional perimeter jumpers, tough downhill takes and dunk it easily.

Omar Wilson CG 5'11 2026 Cesar Chavez (Area Code Elite 17)

A defensive guard with quick hands and feet on the ball. He will score it with deep threes, mid-range pull-ups, he smartly plays off of the pick and roll game and will find a teammate. He will get a step on his defender for some in traffic takes and absorb the contact plus he is a very good transition scorer.

Barrett Wollberg PF 6'5 Spokane (Spokane Bulls 17)

A face-up forward can step out to the three point line and rattle shots in. He will block shots in his area, rebound at a good clip, run the floor and score with put backs often. He is a natural rebounder chaser with a stronger frame as he carves out position to grab it and boxes out. He will also score with driving layups and rip thrus in the lane.

Zion Woods CG 6'1 2026 Skyline Prep (AZ Storm 17)

A bigger lead guard or combo guard who can score it from all levels. He will hesitate or burst to the basket as he knows how to change speeds to get downhill and score with driving layups with his longer arms and size. He can shoot the three and made some slick passes in the lane.
