Around the Circuits: Skilled 2027 G/F’s

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The weekend of April 24-26th I attended the <strong>Adidas 3SSB Session-1</strong> at Ladera, California and watched two other circuits online with the <strong>New Balance</strong> and <strong>Under Armour Association</strong> Circuits. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were some of the Skilled 2027 G/F's </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1555179' first='Darius' last='Wabbington'] Sunnyslope (Compton Magic 3SSB)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top passing post player in the country, showed off for a couple weekends how valuable of an asset he can be. He has the mass to hang inside with the biggest players, the skill with pull-up or catch-3's, self created fall aways, floaters, counter moves into hook shots, mid-range jumpers, tear drops and drop steps. He will occasionally dunk it and handle the ball well and see the court better than some PG's. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1464983' first='Mick' last='Riordan'] St. Mary's ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] UAA) (Pictured) </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger guard who is one of the top shooters in the state gets the ball out of his hands from the three point line in a blink of an eye. He is best off the catch but can create a little off the dribble. He is a cerebral player and reads the court well.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1950104' first='Jonathan' last='Mercado'] Chandler (AZ Select UAA) </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>JT serves as the other primary ball handler of the local UAA team. He can also play alongside [player_tooltip player_id='1873639' first='Grant' last='Mattingly'] as a scorer with his touch from the three point line with a quicker trigger but also takes care of the ball and handles the heavy pressure.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2407206' first='Cameron' last='Hurt'] Pinnacle ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] UAA Rise 17)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring point guard who has quick hands on defense to collect steals which leads to layups on the other end. He will score with threes off the catch and he will give a sharp ball fake and slither in the lane with a burst of speed. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid-range and brings confidence on the court.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2574803' first='Joshua' last='Blevins'] Skyline Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] UAA Rise 17)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A very tall power forward who can score it a variety of ways. He will hit the short corner mid-range jumper, fall away from the post, euro down the lane with long strides and score with offensive rebound put backs using his size and reach.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2337274' first='Brig' last='Bowden'] Mesa ([program_tooltip program_id='2076421' first='Factory' last='AZ'])</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A face-up five-man can score it from inside and out. He has a pretty stroke to the three point line and will work inside with hook shots with either hand, create a little inside for himself and score with offensive rebound put backs using either hand.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2423049' first='Ben' last='Petrick'] Pinnacle ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] UAA Rise 17)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A good sized point guard who can shoot. He is a catch and shoot three point type with a very quick trigger and comes with deep range. He makes smart reads and good decisions with the ball.&nbsp;He is one of those that get hot very quickly from the arc.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2282925' first='Jacob' last='Hunter'] <strong>Liberty ([program_tooltip program_id='2076421' first='Factory' last='AZ'])</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A stronger guard who can play multiple positions for his club or high school team. He uses his handle and strength to get downhill to the basket and has a tough mid-range jumper he uses and can hit the three. He doesn't mind the contact inside and he can finish thru it. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
