Aaron's PH Bash in the Desert Standouts : 15u/16u Part 1

I was able to pop in to Millennium high school for the Prep Hoops Annual Bash in the Desert. I got to cover 15u and 16u players from multiple teams coming from multiple states.   It was fun to discover players from Arizona and other states making it a must see event for basketball junkies like my self.   I Picked out 12 players from my limited time at the event and separated them in to part 1 and part 2 of my personal standouts.    Terrence is a legit pass first point guard that can get to the lane at will. He has a good looking shot from the outside with a nice and relaxed shooting stroke. He is money off the catch and can even hit the three off the pick. He often uses a quick hesitation move to the bucket and finishes high off the glass over defenders. When attacking the bucket he looks for shooters or hits his nice hesi pull up in face of defenders. Terrence is the best passer I seen all weekend and threw a couple of full court pass on the money. He can give a good entry pass, Hit cutter down the middle when driving baseline and throws a perfect pocket pass out of the pick and roll. He is a high IQ player that plays very calm and under control. Terrence had two game winners in back to back games.     DJ is a legit deep range threat and the best shooter i seen all weekend. He can get his shot off in limited space making him a tough guard for opposing teams. He is a elite spot up shooter and constantly moving off ball to get open looks. He can also his his three off the dribble and off picks. He is a underrated passer and will hits teammates in the dumpers spot. He pushes the ball up the sideline and makes great unselfish decisions. DJ had 7 threes in one game and finished with a game high 25 points.     RJ is a true Big with a nice looking shooting stroke from beyond the arc. He can dominate near the rim with his natural size and strength. He seals well in the post and dominates smaller defenders. He likes to score with spins in the lane and a sweet jump hook. He has a good handle for a big and will push the ball off the rebound. He can extend his range to the three and will even hit it off the dribble. With his size, Skill and IQ he will turn heads all AAU season.     Alex is a big forward with a strong frame and solid handle. He constantly pushed the pace off the rebound and will finish layups after going coast to coast. His team mostly played through him and he would use his ability to read the defense to his advantage by hitting backdoor cutters and shooters. Alex can extend his range out to the three and hit multiple on the night. He finishes strong through contact and got multiple and 1's. He uses his body and size to clear defenders in lane and take advantage of mismatches.     Xavier is a quick scoring guard that plays at his own pace and under control. He takes what is given to him and doesn't force bad shots. He finishes with finesse around the rim and makes getting to the bucket look easy. He has a smooth 1 dribble pull up in the lane is a overall efficient scorer. He sets up teammates in spots they will be successful making him a fun player to play with. He uses the pick to create mismatches for him self or teammates. With his Speed and scoring ability he will continue to have a great offseason.     Ashton is a Good size wing with a thicker frame and great athleticism. He finishes strong and attacks the rim aggressively and constantly gets paint touches. With his athleticism and natural build he will take advantage of mismatches. He will get to the lane and use a quick spin move and finish strong at the rim. Ashton is a plus rebounder on both ends and constantly gives his team second chance buckets. He is a great team player and solid passer he even threaded the needle from the high post to a cutter going backdoor.
