Our updated class of 2027 rankings in Southern California featured a good amount of movement, including 43 new additions and a number of prospects who played their way into major stock-rising bumps up the board. In this piece we break down the new additions to the rankings who ended up among the Top 50 prospects in the class.

No. 2 [player_tooltip player_id='2878517' first='Cherif' last='Millogo'] | St. Francis | Compton Magic

Millogo was the easiest addition of this update cycle after being one of the most dominant forces in SoCal high school basketball last season. The 7-foot-2 center was a game-changing presence on the defensive end of the floor as his combination of size, length and fluid athleticism made him an elite rim protecting presence and defensive anchor. Millogo was obviously a factor offensively, too, with his soft hands and touch leading to efficient at-rim finishing. The junior was a nightly double-double threat and flirted with triple-doubles in the blocks category.

No. 27 [player_tooltip player_id='3638126' first='Max' last='Cui'] | Palos Verdes | California Gold

Cui is one of the most under-appreciated forwards out west and, as he continues to gain more exposure with California Gold on the 3SSB Circuit, I can see low to mid major programs, as well as high academic Division 1's, getting in the mix. The 6-foot-8 junior is a high motor and energy guy who doesn't shy away from the dirty work but also possesses the skill to be an offensive hub at the high school level. Cui's activity results in offensive rebounds and second chance points but he can also score on face-up drives, post-ups and when cutting and moving without the ball.

No. 28 [player_tooltip player_id='2895483' first='Ean' last='Britt'] | Campbell Hall | Oakland Soldiers

Britt has a ton of natural ability to go along with his projectable athletic and physical tools. The 6-foot-5 wing has a long, wiry frame with broad shoulders that show room to fill out and add good weight. Skill-wise, Britt is a transition lane-filler, slasher and finisher whose body control and vertical athleticism allow him to elevate and score over or around rim protectors. Britt is best as a perimeter scorer with his pull-up mid-range and three-point jumpers being his go-to offensive tool.

No. 34 [player_tooltip player_id='2375392' first='Kaiden' last='Wilson'] | Redondo Union | Paul George Elite

Wilson's combination of physicality and explosive athleticism make him an impactful two-way wing/forward in the 2027 class. The 6-foot-5 junior, who transferred to Redondo Union last season from Seton Catholic in Washington, was most effective as a transition finisher, second-chance opportunist and all-around glue-type guy. This spring Wilson has shown improved touch on his catch-and-shoot three point shot which will be a key area of development for him.

No. 41 [player_tooltip player_id='2056718' first='Trey' last='Price'] | Mater Dei | Dream Vision

Price is your prototypical point guard who is best described as an extension of the coach on the floor with his high IQ decision-making, steadiness with ball security and ability to make open three-point shots off the catch. The 6-foot-2 junior, who came back to Southern California after moving to Oregon and spending his first two high school seasons at West Linn, operates with a smooth pace and is always looking to get teammates open shots.

No. 49 [player_tooltip player_id='3638360' first='Jaylin' last='Conard'] | St. Francis | Paul George Elite

Conard missed his entire junior season after a CIF transfer ruling but has come on strong with Paul George Elite's 17u EYBL squad this spring. The 6-foot-1 point guard is one of the most physical guards in Southern California and he uses that strength, combined with his speed and downhill aggressiveness, to get into the lane in transition and half-court offense and score at the rim or create for others. Look for Conard to rise again in our next update as he gets on the floor with St. Francis during the June scholastic live periods.
