The 2026 Prep Hoops Circuit rolled into Marietta, Georgia this weekend for one of the premier events of the spring. The Prep Hoops Southeast Spotlight once again brought together high-level talent from across the region, giving a platform to some of the most dangerous perimeter threats in the 15U division. Here's a look at the shooters who stood out and made their mark.

One of the most highly-touted prospects at the Prep Hoops Southeast Spotlight was [player_tooltip player_id='2767540' first='Cadien' last='Hudson']. The rangy, 6'6" wing has all of the potential in the world, not just because of his length, but because of the signs he's shown as a shooter. Hudson had 5 3PM between the two games I watched on Saturday, displaying a smooth stroke with an uncontestable release point. However, where he was most productive was in the mid-range. Cadien consistently knocked down twos off closeouts, through contact, and in traffic. Hudson also has plenty of defensive upside, so it will be fun to track his development over the next three years.

Minnix is another in-state 2029 who caught my eye with his pure shooting ability. At 6'1", Nicholas is not lacking for size at his age, which gives him an advantage when shooting on the perimeter. He moves very well off the ball to create space for others or easier looks for himself, but when he gets his feet set and hands ready, he is certainly the most efficient option on his squad. As he gets older and more comfortable physically, Minnix should be able to contribute more defensively and inside the paint, but he's got a great foundation as a shooter to be a key piece for Focus On Progress down the line.

One of the most explosive scorers of the tournament was [program_tooltip program_id='2078425' first='North' last='Metro Elite']'s [player_tooltip player_id='3586854' first='Aidan' last='Beaton']. Beaton had a 25-point game and a 40-point game this weekend, showcasing a feel for scoring at all three levels. When I saw Aidan and company in game two, it was clear that he was uber-confident and skilled as a jump shooter. Whether it was catching-and-shooting on the wing, letting fly from deep off the dribble, or pulling up in the mid-range, it was clear to see that Beaton was one of the best shooters in the 15U division.

Deandre had a couple of impressive showings for AJ3 Athletics this weekend in Marietta. He got going with a couple of floaters in the first half, then gradually extended his range to beyond the three-point line. The rest of the offense struggled to get going against a matchup with elite size and athleticism, so Bradley's shooting and secondary driving were crucial to the unit's spacing. Deandre also has some solid bounce to his game, so look for him to continue to progress as a prospect this summer.

Rounding out my list of 15U Shooters to Know from the Prep Hoops Southeast Spotlight is B2 Elite's Johnson Zhao. Zhao was a bright spot on Saturday for his squad, keeping them within striking range as he got hot on the offensive end. He has an extremely quick release, which helps him get his shot up against players with equal or greater size. However, Johnson is also comfortable putting the ball on the floor and is creative as a finisher at the rim.
