We at Prep Hoops VA recently updated our 2027 rankings, expanding over 150 prospects who we feel are ones to watch in the junior class. Here's a look at part two the forward prospects from the Northern VA areas in the rankings.

#74) Omar Alp Elitas | 6'9” C | Bishop O'Connell

Elitas played a solid role for O'Connell off the bench this season, and the 6'9” forward is a player to watch moving forward as he continues to develop. He showed flashes of brilliance with his ability to hit the glass and keep it high to finish second opportunity chances, he showed soft touch around the rim, he moves pretty well for his size on both ends of the floor, and he is a good rim protector defensively too.

#107) [player_tooltip player_id='2898058' first='Nigel' last='Arthur'] | 6'6” PF | St. Stephen's St. Agnes

Arthur was the perfect post player for SSSAS this season, as he is a blue collar and dirty work type of player who doesn't need the ball very much to make an impact, giving his talented guards plenty of freedom and help in the way he plays. He has a tremendous motor as he runs the floor hard on every play and will fight for loose balls, he attacks the rim and plays well through contact, he pursues the basketball and is a monster on the glass on both ends, and his energy is absolutely infectious to his team.

#120) [player_tooltip player_id='2880900' first='James' last='Davis'] | 6'4” PF | Yorktown

While Davis may be considered a tad undersized for his position, that doesn't affect his ability to impact the game at he's a walking mismatch with tons of versatility in his game. He's strong and active in the paint allowing him to rebound over bigger opponents on both ends of the floor, he can stretch the floor with his shooting and is a good passer on the perimeter, he finishes well with both hands and has good touch over bigger defenders, and he is a fluid athlete who can switch defensively and guard multiple positions.

#132) [player_tooltip player_id='2046175' first='Alexander' last='Sidbury'] | 6'6” PF | Fairfax Christian

Sidbury has been a big part of Fairfax Christian's success over the past three years, and he just continues to get better and better every year which bolds well for him moving forward. The 6'6” forward plays with a great motor and is willing to battle in the paint on both ends of the floor, he fights for rebounds and 50-50 balls, he finishes well through contact, and he isn't afraid to get physical and use his fouls when he needs to.

NR: Michael Kargbo | 6'5” C | Fairfax

Kargbo is one of the more underrated players who fits in well with the other guys on this list, as he's another blue collar and dirty work kind of big who is trending up after a good junior season. While he's only 6'5” he is physical and makes his opponents work for everything in the paint, he can finish with touch around the rim, he uses his length and has good timing as a shot blocker, and he doesn't need to score to impact the game.
