"As of April 26, we have competed in two tournaments, going 3-1 in each tournament for an overall record of 6-2, one tournament played in the 16U division. We've really shared the ball well through 8 games. I like how versatile we can be, with both strong guard play and post play. Our BIGs have been running the floor well. I think we have our best basketball ahead of us as we aim to clean up our defense and ending the possession with a rebound. If we can be in great habits of sitting in a stance and closing out with hands high, we can be really good. This group is so talented, but they are also just a really close, fun group of kids, which is exciting."   PHD: What are this team's biggest strengths on the court?   "Basketball IQ, ability to share the ball, and our outside shooting."   PHD: What are your goals or expectations for this spring/summer?   "Goals for the summer are to have these guys mentally ready for their varsity seasons come this winter. I expect us to start recognizing certain offenses/defenses and just REACTING to the opponent, versus needing to talk about how to handle situations. I want us to compete at the highest level; in order to do that, we must protect the paint and finish with a rebound."   PHD: What will your defense "hang its hat on"?   "I feel like we have good length across the board, so I'd like to keep the ball out of the paint and show high hands on all passes and shots."   PHD: How often will your team meet to practice, and what will the focus be?   "2-3 times per week. Our emphasis will be on defense and rebounding."   PHD: Who will be a few of your top shooters? "I really love how well our guards can rebound, but I do expect our BIGs to win the boards, specifically [player_tooltip player_id='2442378' first='John' last='Nolan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2442367' first='Cohen' last='Soukup']. They both have a really good feel for where the ball is going to go. Cohen is a phenomenal offensive rebounder as well."   PHD: What's a strength of this team that might not get noticed right away?   "Organized. I expect my team to be very organized at all times, but this team has been absolutely phenomenal. It's an underestimated component of the game, but we don't fight over who brings the ball up the floor; we outlet to our point guard, our wings run their side of the floor, and our posts rim run better than any team. We're very organized with our rotations, and the team communicates their defensive assignments as well as their spots on offense. We have very structured practices and our guys are very focused on the details."   PHD: If you had to describe this team in three words, what would they be?   "Unselfish, organized, and fundamental."
