What a weekend it was on the Prep Hoops Circuit. The Stage turned out to be one of our best events yet. Not only was the talent level excellent featuring several shoe-circuit teams, but there were multiple college coaches in the gym every day, Top 150 national prospects to watch, an elite crew of Prep Hoops scouts in attendance, and the event was just ran very well overall. Content and exposure are at the forefront of everything we do at Prep Hoops and we hit a home run with The Stage. Throughout the coming week we will have a ton of content recapping the weekend. Top performers, stock-risers, All-Tournament teams, notebooks, and much more. Here are some of the top new names from the 17u level at the Pacers Athletic Center.

One of the first players to catch our attention on Friday night at The Stage was this athletic wing from Mishawaka High School. Fowler has grown to a be a long, lean 6'3" athlete that made three-point shots, attacked the rim in transition, and was disruptive defensively. He was excellent for Team Soil 17u. Fowler is a Class of 2028 prospect playing up a year which made his performance even more impressive.

Obviously, most players from out-of-state could qualify as a "new name" to me. However, Long certainly fit the qualification as an under-the-radar big man from Lakota West High School that deserves some small college attention. He is a willingly physical presence in the paint on both ends of the floor that finished consistently, rebounded his area, and held his own defensively. Long played with Cincy Reapers 17u.

One of the most explosively athletic guards at The Stage, James caught a couple of alley-oop dunks and was excellent in transition all weekend long for [program_tooltip program_id='3559625' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Crossroads'] 17u. The Jeffersonville High School product has some intriguing athletic tools that he pairs with the ability to get to the rim off of the dribble. He has some intriguing two-way upside that college coaches should check out.

There is always a premium on finding under-the-radar big men this time of year for small college programs to evaluate throughout the spring and summer. Leasor, from Providence High School, will be one of those prospects this year. The 6'6'" forward flashed some ability to step out and stretch the floor, but was also very effective around the basket. An under-the-radar forward worth watching.

Another Class of 2028 prospect that was playing up at the 17u level over the weekend, Smith really popped due to his length and athleticism. The 6'6" super bouncy center for [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 17u, Smith was active on the roll, on the rim, and as a shot-blocker defensively. His two-way above the rim ability certainly catches your attention when watching him play. The Avon High School prospect has a lot of upside to follow.

Sticking with the theme of under-the-radar big men, Stafford was an early morning standout on Saturday when watching 502 Elite 17u. The Kentucky native is a big, physical presence around the basket with solid footwork for his size. He was able to bully defenders in the paint to score with his right hand and even flashed some ability to drive it from the mid-post. Stafford looks like a very good rebounder as well.
