Prep Hoops The Stage – Ramsey’s 17u Standouts, Part One

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What a weekend it was on the Prep Hoops Circuit. The Stage turned out to be one of our best events yet. Not only was the talent level excellent featuring several shoe-circuit teams, but there were multiple college coaches in the gym every day, Top 150 national prospects to watch, an elite crew of Prep Hoops scouts in attendance, and the event was just ran very well overall. Content and exposure are at the forefront of everything we do at Prep Hoops and we hit a home run with The Stage. Throughout the coming week we will have a ton of content recapping the weekend. Top performers, stock-risers, All-Tournament teams, notebooks, and much more. Kalkat has quickly carried the momentum from a breakout junior season into the spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2471005' first='Legacy' last='Ice Elite']. He was showing off his well-rounded offensive game and impressive athleticism while leading his team to a 4-0 weekend at The Stage. The 6'5" guard has impressive positional size in the backcourt that he pairs with some excellent shooting ability. He was hot from three-point range, made some tough mid-range jump shots, and then used his size to finish at the end of his drives inside. The 6'2" super physical guard for DI Indiana P32 17u was turning heads from start to finish. He has the ability to punish defenders off of the dribble, is really quick in the open floor, and has a high-ceiling as an on-ball defenders. His physicality as a 6'4" guard/wing allowed him to dominate at the end of his drives and score against size around the basket. The super athletic 6'4" wing stepped into a major rotation role this season at Fishers High School and is clearly ready to build on that confidence in the coming months. We had the chance to see him play on Friday night as he seemingly scored it at will, set up his teammates, and dominated in transition.
