Midwest Warmups: 2027 Skilled Playmakers Regardless Of Position

I was in Rockford on Saturday and Sunday getting to check out guys from the 15U, 16U, and 17U divisions at the UW Sports Factory. In this article we will take a look at guys who consistently produced across the board and would be considered high feel playmakers from the class of 2027. A dynamic and athletic 2-way combo guard that plays with a high motor. Makes plays on movement cutting hard off screens with a strong feel for proper reads. Consistently applies pressure on defense getting downhill at a quick rate. Consumes contact to get to stripe while proving a tough containment going off the bounce. Can certainly play above the rim in transition or ½ court setting with a 1 handed slam off primary break and a 2 handed dunk off of hard baseline drive. Competitive all around. A strong forward who brings a physical inside post presence. Ajanovic endures the physicality that the game presents. Offensively is confident in attacking baseline or middle off the bounce through traffic while converting over more height. Runs the floor well at size and position. Will play above the rim and can handle and push off of defensive rebounds to initiate the break. Provides floor spacing with catch and shoot 3 opportunities. Defensively can guard beyond the arc. Brings energy and competitiveness with a winners attitude. Will fit into a strong combo guard or an undersized 3 because of his strength and determination at next level. Reisinger is going to bring toughness to the court in all facets. Scoring wise will knock down spot up threes, finish in the lane vs more size, and convert on tough pressure. Was the best overall rebounder I saw all weekend under 6'4. Defensively can guard the 1 – 4 spots. Battles the full length of the court. Adds value in the ½ court to move without the ball and remain a versatile threat. Brings production and execution on both sides. Versatile scoring wing who can produce from all three levels. Knocked down multiple catch and shoot threes. Will square up to face then jab step or hesitate to create space. Has court vision to see perimeter openings after hard drives. Works effectively in transition to score through traffic while also being difficult to stay in front of off the bounce. Well-rounded presence who can score, create, and make plays within offensive flow. A polished 2 man that will be a good small college fit as a shooting guard. What pops out about Nalbono is his stroke from mid range and beyond the arc. He can operate off of ball screens to get to his spot and rise to knock down a pure 2 count jump shot. Will also create space utilizing jab steps to get into mid range game or pull up from 3. Plays under control as a disciplined handler as well who can lead and organize. Competes defensively beyond half court at times. Strong feel who will earn his keep as a shot maker. A crafty guard with some wiggle while having the ball in his hands. Second half started to go into attack mode more to get to cup. Has a good feel to change pace and speed when necessary. Able to break down defenders in 1v1 settings off the bounce to facilitate and get to second level of defense. Makes smart passes to drive and kick or swing it to keep defense moving. Plays with some flair while remaining steady.
