I already knew going into the Combine and Showcase that Carter had some bounce, and he put it on full display. Leaping 40 inches during the Max Vert testing. He is a rare high school prospect who already holds offers in both basketball and football, making him a well-rounded athlete overall. Expect him to utilize his hops to throw down dunks throughout the AAU season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2960924' first='Kairey' last='Sampaio'] wowed during the vertical testing, exploding for a 38-inch jump. Considering he's still just a freshman, it's very impressive, and his athletic development is likely still ongoing. If he stays on this trajectory, his ceiling will continue to rise.

Dorian Virgil has elite traits between his wingspan and vertical. The Rancho 2029 guard proved why he was such a difference maker in the paint this season, getting up and hitting 11'7 on his max touch, good for about a 40-inch vertical. His numbers are elite and give him a huge advantage when it comes to high-pointing rebounds or swatting shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1965124' first='Jayvion' last='Wall'] has been making a few waves already this spring. And he showed up during the vertical portion of my combine and showcase, posting a 38 inch vert. He gets already gets up for dunks regularly and I expect he'll be producing impressive highlights using his vertical in his next few tournaments.

[player_tooltip player_id='1945840' first='Ien' last='Kirkland']'s (pictured) vertical is another attribute that sets him apart from the pack. He measured in with a 37.5-inch vertical, which he utilized throughout the combine and showcase. It shows up on both ends of the floor. Whether he's finishing above the rim or making plays defensively, it should continue to be a key asset as he expands his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2920445' first='Haneef' last='Bahar'] Jr. posted a 38-inch vert as well. He was definitely one of the top performers on the day across the board, and when you look at his blend of shooting with his athleticism. He can get a bucket in a variety of ways. He also has the tools for a guard to be a shot blocker, using his bounce and timing to contest and alter looks at the rim.
