A smooth, athletic guard, [player_tooltip player_id='2419856' first='Carter' last='Cook'] is solid combo guard that can be trusted to handle the rock, create for himself and others, and avoid turnovers. A combo guard that can fill in at either the shooting guard or point guard positions, Cook is good enough at both to serve as a primary ball-handler or an off-ball shooter. Hitting a step-back three as smoothly as it gets, Cook is seemingly always in control, and never too high or never too low on the court.

Possessing body control and strength, Cook is not an easy box out on the boards, he'll fight for rebounds and put-backs, and he's not one to get punked by other, bigger guards. He'll do what his team needs and do it well.

Still working his way to varsity at Cedar Rapids Xavier, [player_tooltip player_id='2523922' first='Sam' last='Evans'] appears just on the cusp of being an impact player for the Saints, who lose a lot going into next season. A self-identified shooting guard, despite standing at 6-foot-6, Evans was one of, if not the tallest player in attendance over the weekend, and played a more traditional front court role for the Splash Bros.

Bouncier than one might think, given his position and slight frame, Evans was threat to throw down a dunk or get an easy layup at any given moment, while also displaying an ability to shoot it from the outside. Not a high-level on-ball creator, he'll need to work on his handle more, but he could add some shooting and size to next year's Xavier roster.

The best athlete in the gym in Cedar Rapids, [player_tooltip player_id='2523901' first='Halbert' last='Jackson'] is a tall, long wing that can jump out of the gym. With the ability to two-step, leap and throw down a dunk, Jackson is a lob threat with explosion that few others can match at his size. Though he didn't have the best day shooting, Jackson has the mechanics and high release to make for a jumper that's nearly unblockable.

A wing with natural burst, Jackson has the potential to be an elite defender with his length and quickness, able to keep ball-handlers in front of him and get into passing lanes with speed that's difficult for offensive players to forecast. He's a sneaky defender.

One of the more skilled guards in attendance, [player_tooltip player_id='2396064' first='William' last='Rahe'] appeared to have the most polished game on the court Saturday afternoon. With a crisp handle and quick first step to attack the basket and finish with either hand, Rahe is a combo guard that can put the ball on the deck and fire from distance in a moment's notice. Rahe, who averaged 11 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.3 steals per game for Cedar Rapids Washington this summer, is an underrated, twitchy athlete that can catch and shoot, create space for himself off-the-dribble to launch from deep, and he can contort his body to finish around the rim.

Serving as his team's skilled big man and on-ball creator, [player_tooltip player_id='2796398' first='Shiloh' last='Schuety'] was doing it all for Pure Point in Cedar Rapids. Initiating the offense, attacking off the dribble with a spin move into a high gather and tough finish at the rim, Schuety was almost unguardable against the Comets when he wanted to get to the basket.

A bully on the glass, too, Schuety wouldn't allow anyone to get a board that he believed belonged to him, getting put-backs, as well as drawing fouls to head to the free throw line.
