EYBL Recap: Georgia Stars 16u

We had the opportunity to see one of the nation's top 16U teams twice over the weekend in Atlanta, and the [program_tooltip program_id='2078446' first='Georgia' last='Stars'] more than lived up to the hype. Headlined by one of the country's premier prospects in [player_tooltip player_id='2436946' first='AJ' last='Williams'], the roster is loaded with future college players across multiple positions. Here's a look at some of the top performers from EYBL Session I.    One of the nation's top players in the sophomore class, Williams did nothing but solidify his stock, averaging 25 points per game in Atlanta while leading the Stars to a 4-0 record. A three level scorer with size, length, and strength, he combines high level athleticism with consistent production and an ability to create his own offense. He rebounds his position, defends multiple spots, and plays with a high level of confidence, making him one of the most impactful prospects in the class.     One of the most creative scorers in the state's 2028 class, McCullough is an athletic, high scoring wing who plays with a true scorer's mentality. He is a solid shot maker who can create his own offense off the bounce and finish in the paint in a variety of ways. Active on the defensive end, he brings energy and competitiveness on both sides of the floor.     The state's top frontcourt prospect in the sophomore class, Julius is a mobile big man with excellent size and length. An above average athlete, he gets off the floor easily and plays with a consistently high motor. He has solid hands, can score on the block, and makes his presence felt defensively as a rim protector and shot changer in the paint.     The primary ball handler and top perimeter shooter for the team, Browne averaged nearly 13 points per game during EYBL Session I. A scoring, left handed guard, he has a strong feel for the game and is a reliable shot maker. A better than average athlete, he can impact the game both on and off the ball, giving him added versatility in the backcourt.     A newcomer to the Stars this season, Lopez is a skilled stretch forward originally from Arizona. He can knock down shots out to three, and shows the ability to pass, handle, and shoot effectively. A better than average athlete, he also brings a good feel for the game, making him a versatile offensive threat.
