16u Georgia Standouts at adidas 3SSB

The adidas 3SSB circuit continues to showcase some of the top talent in the country, and Georgia's 16u group made a strong impression this past weekend in California. With a mix of high level scorers, shot makers and versatile playmakers, several prospects elevated their stock with productive performances. Here's a look at some of the standouts from Georgia's 2028 class.    Johnson continues his ascent up the rankings and is trending toward being one of the top point guards in the 2028 class. A left handed scoring guard, he's a true three level threat who can produce in a variety of ways. He combines high level athleticism with a very good feel for the game, allowing him to play with pace and control while making reliable decisions. Johnson averaged 17.3 points per game in California, further solidifying his status as a rising national prospect.     The talented combo forward from Virginia, who played for Overtime Elite this season, made a strong impression with the Celtics to open the 3SSB circuit. Laver averaged over 10 points and 6 rebounds per game, showcasing a well rounded offensive skill set. He's a reliable perimeter shot maker with the ability to stretch the floor, and an above average vertical athlete who can finish plays around the rim. His ball skills continue to improve, allowing him to handle and create in spots, and his versatility enables him to effectively play both forward positions.     Another key piece for the Celtics, Bailey is a long, lean, and versatile combo forward with intriguing upside. He runs the floor well, plays with a consistent motor, and shows soft touch around the rim. His length and activity allow him to impact the game on both ends, particularly on the glass. Bailey averaged nearly a double-double during Session I with 9.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, highlighting his productivity and potential moving forward.     One of the state's fastest-rising frontcourt prospects in the 2028 class, Evans led the way for AE5 with 12.8 points and 6.5 rebounds over four games. The sophomore brings high level size and length to go with above-average athleticism, giving him clear two-way potential. He's capable of attacking from the perimeter, scoring on the block, and continues to show growth with his ball skills and decision making. Defensively, he uses his length to alter shots in the lane and impact the paint. With his physical tools and expanding skill set, Evans is trending in a strong direction.     The sophomore point guard led Game Elite in assists while also averaging 13.5 points per game in California. Hernandez is a quick, scoring lead guard who consistently gets into the paint and creates offense. He's a reliable shot maker with range, capable of stretching defenses, and has solid strength for the position. A willing defender, Hernandez competes on that end and brings a balanced, productive presence to the backcourt.
