2029s who made us circle back at Rocky Mountain Mayhem

Rocky Mountain Mayhem brought out some names that I did not expect to catch my attention, and that is why I wanted to look at this 2029 class. This group checked off boxes for me and earned some attention and a deeper look going forward. In the games that I watched, his ability to mix it up made him one of the standouts in the game. He had a few entry passes, grabbed rebounds out of his position, and gave his team plenty of 2nd chance opportunities. Against a solid Blaze team out of Windsor, he dominated in his role of playing hard, getting some easy baskets, attacking the glass, and was a force inside. He's a name to watch.     Kershaw is one of those players who is not just taking every single shot or having the ball in his hands a ton, but when he gets it, good things happen. We saw a bit of coast-to-coast finishes, he was making players for others, and had a couple of no-look assists where he showcased that he could read the court. He also had some baseline cuts and finishes around the basket, which kept Blaze basketball moving. He rebounds with effort and cleaned up those misses with easy baskets. Kershaw plays within the flow of the offense and is a player who you can put in any situation, and he prospers. Liked what I saw from him this weekend.     Eldridge is a player for [program_tooltip program_id='2100026' first='7070' last='Athletics'] who had his moments throughout the weekend. He's a creative scorer who excels with the ball in his hands and was able to get downhill and attack. He hit reverses and floaters and also had moments where he broke defenders down off the dribble to get to where he wanted. He is also not shy about getting shots up and can create for himself. The next part of his game is finding that balance of when to score and facilitate on a team that can play fast-paced and go.     Hendricks is a young player for the Titans that I did not know heading into the weekend, but the more I watched, the more impactful he was. What I really liked how shot-ready he was coming off of screens, and the Titans seemed to have sets run specifically for that. He kept knocking down shots, and teams would adjust with that and try and run him off of the 3-point line, and he would hit some floaters and and-1 finishes inside. The game slowed down for him, through each game, and he was dissecting defenses and getting to where he wanted. He's a high-IQ player who did it all for his team for the weekend. Setting hard screens and rolling, faking screens to pop, and scoring in easy ways. The Titans were using him on pin downs and dragging him across the court for shots, and he had some high-level plays. He's a well-rounded player who is going to be good, and his game against [program_tooltip program_id='2100026' first='7070' last='Athletics'] really was one of my favorite watches on the weekend. He's a player I'm intrigued by.     Gutierrez was a player who popped for me on the weekend for [program_tooltip program_id='2078366' first='Colorado' last='Premier'], as he has a lot to his game offensively, and it was on display throughout the weekend. He shot floaters, got inside of the defense, and finished around the rim, and was using his body. He's a creative finisher who is looking for contact and had some and-1 finishes. We're curious to see how his game improves or what he adds to his game the next time that we see him, but he's now on our radar as a player who could make waves this summer.
