The final game of the 3A quarterfinals proved to be worth the wait. As Rejoice Christian erased a 12 point fourth quarter deficit to force four more minutes of basketball. In the final seconds of overtime the teams were still tied. And that's when Rejoice sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2872140' first='Holt' last='Wilson'] went for an offensive putback in the dying seconds and delivered the Eagles a 61-59 win. In the instance, it was bang bang moment that was hard to tell if the ball was out of hands before the buzzer sounded. Since there isn't the NBA or College, the refs had to make a judgement call. And in this case they called it in the favor of the player who made the play in the big moment to win the game. Leading to a semifinal appearance for Rejoice and a bitter pill to swallow for Heritage Hall.

Wilson crashed the glass for the game winner in overtime, but it was far from his only contribution. He WENT OFF for a game high 25 points. Including 4 of 9 shooting from three. Along with the game winning putback, he also is a smart mover off the ball. Cutting to space and scoring around the rim. Often played under control and off of two feet on drives. Good body control on tough finishes in traffic. Very complete scoring game, to go along with a signature clutch moment.

Tough loss but one of the better games by Bradshaw this season. Stay composed and scored in an efficient way, which highlighted his strengths. Even knocked down a huge corner three in the last minute of overtime that tied the contest. He took both of his threes in rhythm and as a spot up shooter, hitting both. That's the type of shots he currently needs to take from the perimeter. While continuing to be the mid-range and lob threat monster that has defined his game this season. Went for 19 points in the loss. Still work to be done as he continues to develop to reach his fantastic ceiling.

Mendez is a promising freshman and had good moments throughout. Had a couple defensive plays where he was imposing around the rim. An early block, then quietly one of the most pivotal plays in the game. With Rejoice trailing in the final minute, Mendez deflected an alley oop pass, leading to a steal. On offense he reached double figures. Including a good stretch in the third, where he hit in the mid-range. And when he got deep position on the block with his soft touch, he's incredibly hard to stop. Very good long term ceiling.

It was one of Mbroh's more controlled an effective games. He produced in a lot of ways that are pivotal to his development. Knocked down a pair of threes, limited turnovers and handed out 4 assists. There was the usual transition dimes while also making a great cross court read on a drive. Making that type of pass more often will unlock new levels for Mborh. Unfortunately he fouled out in overtime, giving a bitter ending to a strong junior season. But it was a fantastic season of growth.

The future Sooner football player played big all night in transition and around the rim. He went for a double double and twice went to the free throw to hit pivotal free throws that helped pushed the game in regulation. Finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

After being the hero in punching Hall's ticket to State, the freshman could not find his rhythm on Wednesday night. He struggled as a shooter. But the shots he did hit and some of the passes he made are hints at his potential future. Because they are the type of fluid moves and creative vision that can separate him from the rest of the class. It's a setback to end his freshman campaign, while the story is still to be told.
