Horn is the best player on the #1 seeded team in the 1A tournament. A 6-5 combo forward who can score inside and out, he can be a truly dominant scorer who takes over games. He's averaging 26.2 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game on 57% shooting. He has great footwork and can overpower smaller defenders on the block, but he's also a good enough ball-handler to take bigger defenders off the dribble.

The 6-5 wing is one of the best athletes in the state's 2027 class, a standout on the gridiron who holds several Power 5 offers. He'll be making his third state tournament trip this season, but it'll be his first trip as the go-to player for Woodbine. He's averaging 20.2 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 3.0 steals per game, using his length, size, and athleticism to control games on both ends of the floor.

Bork has been awesome this season for the Royals, averaging 15.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3.9 steals per game on nearly 64% shooting. A skilled combo guard who can play with or without the ball in his hands, he's a high-level on-ball defender who sparks an MMCRU defense that is among the best in the state, and he's the focal point of the offensive attack with his ability to create off the bounce.

It's hard to pick out one star from the Defenders, a team that sees six players averaging between 10.0 and 12.0 points per game. But arguably the most important player for them this season has been Severson, the 6-5 big man with soft hands and great touch around the rim. He's averaging 11.2 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, including 4.5 a game on the offensive end. His physicality, size, and toughness allow him to control the game in the painted area.

The star of stars in the 1A tournament, Stephens, a Western Illinois signee, is the type of electric guard who can carry a team to a state title. The 6-5 lead guard can do everything on both ends of the floor, shooting it well off both the dribble and the catch. He has great vision and is a skilled ball-handler who loves to set his teammates up. A plus-athlete who can do it all, I'm thrilled the rest of the state will finally get a chance to see him play here.
