One of the more intriguing players we saw at the second inaugural Mid-Major Classic was undoubtedly [player_tooltip player_id='1687184' first='Jason' last='Hull']. The event was an opportunity for the lanky 6-foot-3 guard from South Wasco County to go up against the best of his small school peers, with the opportunity coming as a reward for a high school career where he racked up some serious numbers. He finished in the top five in state history in career points scored - and this past year he led the state in scoring in all classifications.

"I think it was a strong senior year," Hull said. I think we fell short of where we wanted to finish in terms of state, but you know, I was able to accomplish a lot. And you know, that's just a lot of hard work, a lot of grind put into that. I'm just thankful to be able to be on the court after suffering injuries and everything, just being able to come back and make it through two full seasons after missing a lot of my freshman and sophomore meant a lot. It was a lot of fun and we were able to have a great year."

Hull ended up breaking Swede Halbrook's single season points record this past year and with his high school playing career done, he's looking at his options at continuing his career at the college level.

"I'm not committed yet, but I'm talking to some schools and I'm definitely probably deciding soon," Hull said. "I just kind of got to think what I want for myself going forward, and that's kind of what's playing into it right now. I'm talking to Trinity Bible in North Dakota and I've been talking to Corban, and I'd say those are probably the two that I'm talking to right now. I actually know both the coaches well, and I know both the schools pretty well.

While Hull is pretty focused on those two schools, he's certainly open to someone else coming into his recruitment. It will simply come down to what he's looking for in a school and program. "I want to go where I feel like I can make an impact," Hull said. "A program that supports athletes and has a good environment is something I'm looking for."

As for the Mid-Major Classic, while he and his Team Hull squad only ended up playing one game, he performed well - a team-high 13 points on 5-for-11 shooting including 4 rebounds and 2 assists - and the weekend was an experience he will always fully appreciate. "I was super excited to be here," Hull said. "Last year, I had a scheduling conflict and I couldn't make it, but I just think it's a great event. You get to play with a bunch of players, 1A through 3A, from all over the state. It's fun to get together, put on a game, put on a show - it's a lot of fun."
