The NJSIAA Sectional Tournament has winded down, with several brackets having approached their final rounds and multiple teams now advancing toward group championship games. Amongst some of the most anticipated sectional final matchups was Monday's North Non-Public B matchup at Paterson Kennedy High School in Paterson, NJ between one seeded Gill St. Bernard's and two seeded Roselle Catholic. With a strong group of prospects headlining this contest, let's take a closer look at the players who delivered standout performances during this past Monday's action with a berth in the group championship on the line. Mulcahy impressed the most as an outside shot maker— settling into a nice rhythm from the perimeter early on in this contest, ultimately emerging as a dangerous off ball threat stepping into open looks and knocking down opportunistic three point opportunities at a very efficient rate. Beyond his outside shot making, Mulcahy also stood out as a selfless and willing passer and an impactful contributor on the boards.     Serving as the engine behind Roselle Catholic's offensive production on a nightly basis, [player_tooltip player_id='1729825' first='Trey' last='Lewis'] once again delivered his trademark blend of high paced energy, unwavering confidence, and scoring creativity off the dribble. A dynamic and assertive offensive weapon, Lewis stood out for the variety in which he generated points— creating off the bounce from the perimeter, knocking down outside shots, contributing on the offensive glass, displaying polished mid range scoring, and attacking closeouts to put pressure on the rim. Lewis also impressed on the defensive end of the floor, pressuring the ball against opposing ball handlers to disrupt them out of their rhythm.     [player_tooltip player_id='2917025' first='Prosper' last='Highlander'] has been a key catalyst behind Gill St. Bernard's offensive production, regularly creating matchup problems with his versatile scoring skill set. In this sectional final matchup against Roselle Catholic, Highlander displayed several facets of his versatile scoring attack— combining soft touch around the basket with quick footwork to consistently put pressure on the rim, moving effectively without the ball to fill lanes in transition and cut into open space in half court sets, capitalizing on second chance opportunities on the offensive glass, and even showing the ability to stretch the floor as a reliable spot up shooter from beyond the arc.     [player_tooltip player_id='2344528' first='Jahmal' last='Dixon'] once again showcased why he can be trusted as a dependable two way floor general throughout the course, blending confident and natural playmaking instincts while bringing intensity and physicality as an on ball defender. On the defensive end, he showed a strong commitment at the point of attack, displaying toughness and physicality while pressuring the ball and forcing turnovers, often times turning intense defense into easy offense on the other end. Dixon was also extremely impactful in the rebounding department, particularly for his position, crashing the glass and securing rebounds on both ends of the court. Johnson's comfort playing off the ball—especially as a spot up threat out on the perimeter was on full display, as Johnson confidently converted open perimeter looks and provided valuable floor spacing for the offense.
