2027 is a class full of great guards. Here are five you need to know from Western PA.

[player_tooltip player_id='2427351' first='Marco' last='Pfister'] is a bit under the radar because he has been a role player in a stacked Cathedral Prep backcourt. The thing I like about Pfister is that he's a creator. His range forces defenders to pick him up higher, and once they do, his handle and first step turn those closeouts into paint touches. He's comfortable getting into the lane under control and using a floater or midrange pull-up. Pfister always hustles, locks down with hard defense, and plays bigger than his height.

[player_tooltip player_id='2834816' first='Kane' last='Eggerton'] is already in a leadership role for Thomas Jefferson, but I see even bigger things for him going into next season. This season, he led a Thomas Jefferson team that played deep into the WPIAL bracket. In the WPIAL 5A title game against Chartiers Valley, he finished with 11 points and was a major part of TJ's best third-quarter run. He does all the little things right, especially on defense. Eggerton is a multi-sport athlete, who uses that athleticism and physicality while on the court. Expect a huge season from him next year.

Mason Aquiline has been a role player this season, but I expect him to take on a leadership role for the Vikings next year. He is strong enough to absorb contact, quick enough to play in space, and versatile enough to do whatever is needed for his team. Mason has excellent dribbling skills and a nice pull up jump shot. He has patiently waited his term and I expect him to have a huge season in 2006-2027.

[player_tooltip player_id='3229620' first='Charlie' last='Crummie'] is exactly what coaches want in a guard. He shows mistake-free decision-making and a player that doesn't back down in big moments. He is already a leader on the court, and I see him being the leader of the entire team next season. Defenders can't leave Crummie open, as noted by his multiple 20+ point games where he knocked down 5+ threes.

Brady Sambuchino has been a leading role player with Cathedral Prep this season. A few things I really like about his game is his off-ball movement, basketball IQ, and good decision making. He should continue to grow in his game during the offseason and throughout the AAU season. As his game continues to improve, I see him being a true leader for the Ramblers next season as they lose two key starters to graduation.
