The Central Iowa Metro League is one of the most talented conferences in the entirety of Iowa. Many high-level prospects in this conference showed out this year. Let's get right into who I think are the five best prospects from this elite conference.

[player_tooltip player_id='1978099' first='Colin' last='Rice'] was the leading points-per-game scorer in this conference, and it is clear to see why. His skill set is extremely versatile, and his scoring abilities are very dynamic. He can do about everything on the offensive end, and he is a true three-level scorer. He can shoot the ball no matter where he finds himself on the court. Both in the midrange and beyond the arc, he is very efficient. He can hit these shots off balance and with defenders in his face with ease. He is the definition of an elite jump shooter because of this ability. He is great at using his elite dribbling skills to create just enough space for his jumpers, and with that space, he barely misses. Along with jump shooting, his ball handling allows him to attack the rim. Colin is one of the most prolific drivers in the state. He shakes and blows by defenders consistently, and he converts tough layups through contact and around thickets of defenders, and even in heaps of traffic, he rarely misses around the rim. This includes the post as well, where he is also super efficient and difficult to slow down. His defensive impact is also huge for his team's success. He can guard about any position, and he comes up with blocks and steals routinely, using his length and athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='1978111' first='Jake' last='Pargeon'] is one of the most talented offensive forces in the state of Iowa. His elite ball-handling prowess mixed with his freakish athleticism makes him an absolute chore to guard. Jake gets to the rim at will and can finish around, through, and over defenders with ease. His touch and body control while flying through the air are truly special. His vertical explosiveness adds another dimension to his around-the-rim attack that most guards just can't replicate. The pressure he puts on the rim makes defenders have to give him room, and this makes his scoring even more deadly, as Jake is very adept at hitting deep step-back threes. He is great at using his speed and driving threat to manufacture space, and in these scenarios, he is very efficient at hitting shots with hands in his face. This shot-making ability translates to most areas of the court, and he has no issue shooting off the ball either, as he shows an ability to run off of screens and hit threes on the move and off balance. His threat as a scorer allows him to create many open shots for his team, as he is great at making quick reads and punishing help defenders off of his own shot creation. Jake is also great on the defensive end. He showcases elite length and athletic ability that allow him to lock down most matchups. He is also great at using his leaping ability to block shots and protect the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1977422' first='Rio' last='Aguirre'] is one of the most elite lead guards in the state. For starters, Rio is one of the most efficient three-point shooters I have seen play this year. He has an extremely fast and fluid release with a beautiful arc. He uses his pristine shot to light up opposing defenses from deep. If given room, Rio is sure to make you pay for giving him space, as he is a super decisive scorer with great instincts. He hits threes both off the catch and off the dribble, and he can hit threes on the move, through contact, and from insanely deep range. His shooting ability creates many hard closeouts from defenders, which he is great at attacking and getting downhill. At the rim, Rio is great at scoring up and through contact with his soft touch. He has a patented floater that he hits at an insane clip, even through contact. Rio is also a great floor general and initiator of the offense. He keeps the ball out of harm's way and makes great reads in the pick-and-roll and other offensive actions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1765524' first='Evan' last='Jacobson'] is one of the most dominant big men in the entire state. His post-scoring ability is truly rare, and this is due to his elite footwork, strength, soft touch, and contact balance. Evan is almost unguardable when he puts his head down in the post, and for good reason. He just flat-out overwhelms opponents with his combination of skill and size. However, he can score in many other ways. He is an elite driver for his size and can stretch out and hit tough layups that most players of his stature cannot. His dribbling skills are the main reason for this, as Evan is great at handling the ball on the perimeter. His skills on the perimeter don't stop there, though, as Evan is also a great shooter from the midrange and the three. His soft touch and solid shooting mechanics add another level to his scoring that most other big men can't replicate. With his elite scoring skill set, he offers great playmaking abilities as well. He makes reads at very high speeds and delivers passes with great accuracy. A lot of Waukee's offensive actions are run through him for this reason. Evan also offers great versatility and shot-blocking abilities as a defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1643192' first='Landon' last='Davis'] is one of the most versatile big men in the state. He really can do about anything you ask him to do at the power forward position. He is an elite post scorer with great touch and footwork, while also being a great driver with his vertical pop, handle, and body control. He can shoot in the midrange or beyond the three-point line. Passing is another strong suit of his, as he is amazing at making layered reads and launching skip passes for open looks. And he dominates the glass on both sides of the ball with his length, strength, and leaping abilities. All of these factors make him an impenetrable wall on defense, both around the rim and on the perimeter, where he is a formidable opponent. He blocks heaps of shots, gets steals, and anchors the defense with presence alone. [player_tooltip player_id='1643192' first='Landon' last='Davis'] can truly do it all.
