Another group that already has multiple player with high level D1 scholarship offers is the class of 2029. We take a look at what freshmen stood out this season. Due to a lack of frosh garnering significant minutes this year, our frosh all state group will only include an MVP & a first team.

Hopkins-McGlothen gets our MVP nod for leading his team to the state tournament & earning 1st team all conference. His buzzer beating three was the deciding points to knock top seed Southridge out of the playoffs & he followed that up with a monster quarterfinal performance to beat Clackamas. Along the way the smooth lefty impressed coaches & fans with his crafty scoring ability & his mature approach to the game. He already holds multiple D1 offers, look for that number to increase as he gets older.

Having spent the better part of two decades coaching & evaluating players at Oregon's smaller classifications, I can honestly say that Ainsworth is the best freshman guard I've seen play at Oregon's 4A level. The lefty is effective in the pick & roll game & can really get it going offensively. As he continues to gain strength & grows as a defender, the future is bright for Ainsworth & a talented group of young players in Coos Bay.
