Whew. Knew Creepingbear had made a jump this year based on scoring numbers and impressive highlights. On Friday night it looked like he had jumped a couple levels. Went out and got 41 points. Including leading the comeback in the fourth quarter. He had his full bag going. Going right at the chest and scoring against taller defenders. Floaters. Mid-range pull ups and nasty deep threes. He looked the part of a pure scorer on Friday night. While also having fiery moments on defense. Promising lefty who is playing some of the best basketball of anyone in Oklahoma.

Mason likely doesn't get enough credit for how flat out athletic he is. He made two wow plays in this contest that only a handful of kids in Oklahoma can. First came with a monstrous slam through the lane. The second was the second biggest play on the game. After a turnover late in regulation and the score tied, it looked like Riverside was going to have an easy layup to take the lead. Seemingly out of nowhere, Mason exploded and erased the shot at the rim. It's that combination of effort and athleticism that will make Mason appeal to college coaches. Especially as he shot it a bit better from three. To go along with his usual punishing drives to the rim.

As always the talent and long term potential jumps off the chart with Coleman. Opened the game with a great assist to a cutter out the high post. Had one of his customary pushes, dribble moves to avoid a smaller defender and then whip a perfect pass to a teammate for an open three. For his size he's incredibly smooth looking when shooting from the mid-range and three. Had a couple great spin cycle scores too. There's a lot to like about Coleman's long term potential.

The tools are there for Coleman to be great. But the loss on Friday also showed there's a lot of room for growth. Especially on the defensive end. In Oklahoma high school games, he should be a monster given his size and athletic advantages.

This is the type of a game that hopefully in a year from now, he'll be making winning plays down the stretch. Altering shots at the rim, rebounding stronger. Better instincts and awareness on defense to fly around and make plays. As a sophomore there is still plenty of time to grow. But over the next year, the all around production needs to start matching his potential. Which could start as soon as this upcoming week.

Sanchez seemed to always be around the ball, making something positive happened. Handed out a few assists throughout the game. One came when he secured a rebound and found a cutting teammate. Assisted a couple three pointers as well, including the game win. Another instance of his positive influence came when he slid over and fearlessly took a charge against a runaway freight train. Didn't score much, but did look quick on a coast to coast take. Key part of the Braves' title hopes in 2A.
