<p><strong>How it happened</strong>: After trailing for most of the first three quarters, Bosque rallied in the fourth to upend Cobre, setting the tone for a day of epic comebacks at the Rio Rancho Events Center. Bosque trailed, 52-46, going into the fourth quarter before outscoring Cobre, 23-12, over the final eight minutes. Back-to-back 3-pointers by Jordan Kruft gave Bosque the lead at 54-52. When Cobre regained the lead, the Bobcats launched a 9-0 run to take command. The Guck brothers combined for 39 points and 20 rebounds for Cobre, but it wasn't enough. Cobre led, 20-16m, after the first quarter and 39-30 at halftime. Wilson scored 10 points in the third quarter as Bosque closed the gap to six points after three quarters. Bosque's 9-0 run gave them a 65-56 lead with less than two minutes remaining. </p>

<p><strong>How it happened</strong>: Robertson was flying from the opening trip, grabbing a 16-6 lead after the 1<sup>st</sup> quarter. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2216707' first='Nathan' last='Gonzales']</strong> scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the opening frame. When a Robertson steal and layup gave the Cardinals a 22-8 lead early in the 2<sup>nd</sup> quarter, Tularosa was forced to call timeout. A Wildcats 3-pointer cut the deficit to 22-13 midway through the 2Q. But Robertson's <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2216708' first='Michael' last='Marr']</strong> responded with a triple of his own to make it 25-13, However, Tularosa held Robertson scoreless for the rest of the quarter and closed out the half with a 40 run to trail just 25-17 at halftime.</p>

<p>Robertson's backcourt defense bothered Tularosa at the outset of the 3Q, forcing several turnovers and bad passes. Robertson opened the 3Q with a 12-2 run to take a 37-19 lead. Marr's deep 3-pointer from the top of the circle pushed the lead to 40-21 with 3 minutes left. Marr continued to dominate with a couple of more baskets and assists as Robertson led, 46-29, after 3 quarters. Tularosa closed the gap to 48-37 with under 6 minutes left by opening the final frame with an 8-2 run. After exchanging baskets, Tularosa cut the gap to single digits at 52-44 on a pair of free throws with 3-1/2 minutes left. But Robertson scored the next 4 points for a 56-44 lead with less than 3 minutes left. Two Marr free throws pushed the lead to 60-46 with 2 minutes left. </p>

<p><strong>How it happened</strong>: Despite the large number of Tohatchi supporters in the stands, St. Michael's utilized their superior size to take a 17-8 lead with 2:22 left in the 1Q. They held Tohatchi scoreless until a layup off a steal in the final seconds. The Horsemen built on their 22-10 lead by scoring the first five points of the second quarter for a 27-10 advantage. The lead stayed at 17 (31-14) at the 5-minute mark of the 2<sup>nd</sup> quarter. Tohatchi hit 2 technical free throws to slice the deficit to 32-20 with 2 mins left in the 2Q. The Horsemen scored the final 4 points of the quarter to take a 36-20 halftime lead.</p>

<p>The battle between St. Michael's size and strength and Tohatchi's speed and quickness continued into the second half. Halfway through the 3<sup>rd</sup> quarter, St. Michael's led, 45-27, as Tohatchi struggled to shave the deficit. The lead grew to 53-31 in the final minute. Each team scored one more basket as the Horsemen took a 55-33 lead into the fourth quarter. Tohatchi spurted at the beginning of the 4<sup>th</sup> quarter with three baskets in rapid succession, cutting the St. Michael's lead to 55-39 as the Tohatchi crowed roared its approval. Eventually, St. Michael's regained the momentum. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2394870' first='Kamal' last='Stith']</strong>'s 3-pointer from the wing pushed the lead to 66-43 with 4 minutes left, effectively ending the drama.</p>

<p><strong>How it happened</strong>: Before an enthusiastic near-capacity crowd of over 6,000 fans at RREC, Santa Fe Indian took Navajo Prep's best shot early, falling behind 14-10, after the first quarter before outscoring the Eagles, 19-9, to take control by halftime, 29-23. SFIS sophomore Taivian Collado hit three 3-pointers in the third quarter, one from halfcourt at the buzzer, as the Braves staved off Navajo Prep's comeback bid. The halfcourt heave gave SFIS a 48-38 lead after three quarters, and concluded a quarter-ending 6-0 run for the Braves after Navajo Prep had narrowed the gap to 42-38 on [player_tooltip player_id='2833729' first='Aden' last='Clah']'s 3-pointer with 1:45 left. Collado scored 11 of his game-high 18 points in the second half. After Navajo Prep opened the scoring in the fourth quarter with two free throws, [player_tooltip player_id='2833709' first='Dontrey' last='Callado'] uncorked a long pass to [player_tooltip player_id='2839393' first='Taivian' last='Callado'] for a basket with just under six minutes remaining. The Braves' final nine points came from the FT line. SFIS was 14-of-20 from the foul line in the game. </p>
