Game 1: Barr Reeve vs Liberty Christian

A game between two teams with contrasting styles came down to the wire. A back and forth game was capped off by a Barr-Reeve game winner. 6'2” Sophomore Forward [player_tooltip player_id='3527814' first='Josh' last='Miller'], who led all scorers with 19 points, drove from the left wing and did a spin move in the lane and finished in traffic just before the buzzer to secure the 39-37 Vikings victory over Liberty Christian. Junior Guard Tywaine Fuller led the way for Liberty Christian with 15 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='3527814' first='Josh' last='Miller'] kept Barr-Reeve in the game early on as the Vikings adjusted to Liberty Christian's speed and athleticism. The left handed sophomore forward knocked down three big 3's in the first half leading the charge scoring 13 of his game high 19 points in the first half. He was able to catch cleanly on the perimeter and was patient within the offense. He didn't force it from the perimeter even though he had hit a few. He was able to drive it and get to his spots. He's a crafty finisher around the basket that has really good footwork and uses his body well to play through contact and finish.

Game 2: Bloomfield vs Hauser

from start to finish, the Hauser Jets behind 6'5” Senior Wing [player_tooltip player_id='2814297' first='Gavin' last='Keller'] and 6'3” Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2399376' first='Kameron' last='Blair']. They used their size and physicality to their advantage getting Bloomfield in foul trouble and were able to convert. [player_tooltip player_id='2814297' first='Gavin' last='Keller'] scored 11 of his game high 21 points in the 1st Quarter. 5'11” Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2272841' first='Stryker' last='Gill'] scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half for the Jets. He found their mismatch and exploited it it by posting him up and he was able to convert. [player_tooltip player_id='2399376' first='Kameron' last='Blair'] was also in double figures finishing with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Hauser Jets defeat Bloomfield 54-40 to advance to Saturday Night's Semi-State Championship against Barr-Reeve. 6'6” Senior Wing [player_tooltip player_id='1560962' first='Blake' last='Neill'] of Bloomfield finished with 18 points and 6 rebounds in the loss.

The athletic 6'5” Senior Wing from Hauser was in attack mode from the opening tip. He's a smooth athlete that has good position size that uses his physicality to his advantage. He was able to get going on the offensive end being aggressive to get to the basket and draw early fouls on Bloomfield. He didn't hit a three, but looked comfortable shooting and has a nice release on his shot. What impressed me the most was his defensive versatility. He was able to make things difficult for Bloomfield's [player_tooltip player_id='1560962' first='Blake' last='Neill'] on every possession. He's long and athletic with the ability to move his feet and stay in front without fouling.
