It all comes down to this. Championship Saturday is the culmination of a season's worth of sacrifice, hard work, and dedication. For the teams in the state's biggest divisions, it represented a chance at redemption, the continuation of a dynasty, or the realization of a lifelong dream. In these high-stakes matchups, individual players are called upon to rise to the occasion. Here are the prospects who answered that call and left their mark on the championship stage.

[player_tooltip player_id='3557552' first='Jaydon' last='Francis'] (2027): Francis is the quintessential tough, smart, and poised guard. He is aggressive on both sides of the ball and plays with an incredibly high basketball IQ. In one-on-one situations, he is difficult to stop, and when facing traps, he consistently makes the right read. He leaves it all on the court every time.

Kendall Savoy Jr. (2028): As a new name to the platform, Savoy Jr. used the championship stage to make a powerful first impression. With great size for his position and clear next-level athleticism, he is undoubtedly a prospect to track closely moving forward.

Corey Blake Jr. (2029) is establishing himself as a top player in the state and the championship game was no different, he finished with 16 points and 5 rebounds shooting 4/8 from the field. His in-game intensity, ability to facilitate and his efficiency at knocking down shots are unmatched by any player in his class. Pencil in Mr. Blake at the top of our rankings. He is going places.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132747' first='Ian' last='Edmond'] (2027) continues to prove any that there is no doubt of his next level potential. His 20 points was packed with big shots made that ultimately determined the outcome of the biggest game of the year. The Basketball world waited for this moment all season and the Louisiana mamba delivered. He is a pure scorer and leader on the court, and his poise under pressure is unmatched. Hats off to one of the best in the state regardless of class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132763' first='Mason' last='Newman'] (2027) is a stock riser in the state and one of the big reasons for Zachary's success. Mason crashed the boards, knocked down the three ball, and locked in on one-on-one matchups getting to the goal and finishing. His 11-point performance was bigger than number, it was a demonstration of timing and consistency and that is what is required to win on the biggest stage.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132725' first='Ahmad' last='Hudson'] (2027) put together one of the most impressive overall performances of the basketball season notching, 34 points, 24 rebounds and 9 blocks with 4 steals on 72% shooting from the field and 76% from the free throw line. He is a nationally ranked player in two sports, and its not just because of size. Heart and determination goes into his production which easily translates to the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2218441' first='Armonii' last='Benjamin'] (2026) is a top 3 player in his class and in the championship game he demonstrated his versatility on the court. His 21 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists while shooting 5/10 from three is just a glance at what he is capable of doing at the next level. The big guard is the picture of leadership and production. His next level potential is clear, and his championship performance is one that will be remembered.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532368' first='Dayne' last='Small'] (2027) may be one of the biggest stock risers of the season and his 17 points performance on 3/4 shooting from three-point range was surely a big part of the championship win. Small is already gaining interest from college coaches and will be one to watch this summer as he continues to grow his game. Do not be surprised if Marksville is right back in the same position next year with Small as a key player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532089' first='Darren' last='Ford'] (2028) contributed 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in the championship game showing off his elite skill set on the biggest stage. His inside and outside game is elite and his shot making ability has made him a lock for Division l stardom after high school. He is currently ranked the #1 player in the 2028 class and a 4-star recruit by 24/7 Sports. At just 15 years old he is the highest-level prospect in the state besides his teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2132725' first='Ahmad' last='Hudson'].
