<p>Volcano Vista wrapped up its fifth consecutive Class 5A state championship on Saturday night with a victory over Cleveland at the Pit in Albuquerque. Here is our Class 5A All-Tourney Team:</p>

<p><strong>Most Outstanding Player</strong>: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2111977' first='David' last='Lunn'], Volcano Vista</strong>. Lunn showed again why he has basketball AND football offers from Power 4 schools. He is a freakish athlete with exceptional speed, strength, body control and hoop skills. In Saturday's championship game, he scored a team-high 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field and 7-of-7 from the FT line. When he gets the ball in space and drives to the basket, it's a sight to behold. Against La Cueva in the semifinals, Lunn scored 24 points, including 12-of-17 free throws. He drew 10 fouls, a testament to his willingness to attack the rim.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1326930' first='Remy' last='Albrecht'], Cleveland</strong>: Carried Cleveland on his back in the championship game. In the face of a suffocating Volcano Vista defense, he scored 28 points (over half of the Storm's total) and connected on five 3-pointers. Defensively, he made five steals. Unfortunately for Cleveland, Albrecht didn't get a lot of help from his teammates in the title team as they combined to shoot just 28.1 percent from the field (9-32) and 0-for-15 from 3-point range. Albrecht scored a team-high 20 points against Carlsbad in the quarterfinals.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2300005' first='Braddock' last='Beaty'], Hobbs</strong>: The Eagles ousted Organ Mountain in the first round before traveling to the Pit to face La Cueva in the quarterfinals. Beaty scored 16 points and hit two 3-pointers on 7-of-11 shooting in the loss to the Bears. Like other players on this list, Beatty didn't get enough support from his teammates against La Cueva. The rest of the Eagles combined to shoot 11-of-34 from the field. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2694526' first='Hunter' last='Butler'], La Cueva</strong>: The Bears had trouble solving Volcano Vista's rugged defense in the semifinals, scoring just 42 points. Butler, though, managed to score 17 points, shot better than 50 percent from the field and grabbed 8 rebounds. Like Albrecht, he didn't gets much offensive support from his teammates, who also combined to shoot 9-of-32 from the floor. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2839414' first='Dashon' last='Bynum'], Rio Rancho</strong>: After the Rams survived a tough test against Mayfield in the first round, Bynum scored 17 points, connected on three 3-pointers, and grabbed 6 rebounds in their one-point loss to Sandia in the quarterfinals. Despite the final score, Rio Rancho played from behind most of the game, leading for just 1:21. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2402807' first='Eli' last='Covell'], Volcano Vista</strong>: The 6-foot-5 senior recorded a double-double in the state championship game with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. In the semifinals, he grabbed 9 rebounds in the win over La Cueva. He had 11 rebounds in the quarterfinals and shot an efficient 4-for-6 from the field. Grabbed 30 rebounds in the Hawks' final three games of the state tourneys. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2714580' first='Gad' last='Harris'], Sandia</strong>: When Sandia star [player_tooltip player_id='2714567' first='Isaiah' last='Brown'] suffered an injury late in the first half, Harris took over and nearly led the Matadors to an OT victory over Cleveland in the semifinals. Harris scored 29 points on 8-of-13 shooting, 21 in the second half. Four of his five field goals in the second half were 3-pointers. A month ago, many folks thought Harris wouldn't play again this season in the Aftermath of a football-related injury, But he didn't just play, he thrived. He scored 17 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, handed out 4 assists and drew 9 fouls in Sandia's quarterfinal win over No. 3 seed Rio Rancho.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2919518' first='Jordan' last='Rivera'], Cleveland</strong>: Like most of the Storm players, Rivers struggled offensively in the championship game against Volcano Vista. However, he was sensational in the semifinals against Sandia, finishing as Cleveland's top scorer with 19 points. He buried four 3-pointers, grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double and made 3 steals. Just a sophomore, Rivers offered a glimpse into his enormous potential for the future. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2879038' first='Shane' last='Sullivan'], Carlsbad</strong>: Sullivan was exceptional in Carlsbad's gut-wrenching loss to Cleveland in the quarterfinals. He scored 17 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and handed out 3 assists. The Cavemen controlled much of the game, outscoring the Storm in three of the four quarters. But a poor second quarter for Carlsbad in which they allowed 23 points was the difference in the game. In the first round, Sullivan scored 13 points as the Cavemen traveled to No. 7 Centennial and stunned the Hawks at The Nest in Las Cruces.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2175824' first='Ben' last='Walton'], Las Cruces</strong>: After helping lead The Bulldawgs to a first round win at home over Albuquerque High, the 6-foot-5 Walton was one of the few Bulldogs to get anything going offensively against eventual champion Volcano Vista in the quarterfinals. He finished with 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, 4-4 from the FT line and 3 steals. </p>
